Griese just got released by the Bucs. I know he is coming off an injury, but before he went down he was doing a good job leading the Bucs. He wouldn't cost us any draft pics and I see him just as good as Ramsey. What do you guys think???

He was cut around 8 o'clock but If we could get him at a moderate price I would take him

He's supposedly not a good leader, but he is a better QB than Ramsey.

Hmm, I didn't know he wasn't that good of a leader. Maybe that is why they decided to keep Sims instead. I just think we don't need to give away draft picks to get a QB. They are some decent ones out there that are FA's.

He's nothing better than average at best but with our QB situation the way it is he is worth a look.

Only reason why i'd take Ramsey over Griese is that he's healthier. Griese blew out his knee.... I'd rather have none of them

I agree, but we are going to need someone. I just don't want to give up a draft pick for someone else's garbage. I think we should draft a QB and get a vet to play stop gap while the rook is learning.

No thanks on Griese. I actually like him talent-wise more than all of our other options, but he is ALWAYS hurt. That's why he can't hang on to a job. If people are going to complain about Penny, then he would be the #1 topic on the board all year, every year, of his contract.

I agree, but actually, I would rather just skip all of the FA QBs, and grab a QB in the draft. Cutler in round 1, or Croyle in round 2.

I would rather just keep Brooks and Chad, and draft the QB. It is much cheaper than pursuing a retread. Then we have more cash for more pressing positions.

Signing a Kitna is something in the hope that we can compete this year, which realistically, none of us can expect. Why bother? Save the money, and build for 2007.

    Agreed

Griese is not even close to the answer. He will cost too much and do too little (injuries and talent).
