In the short and intermediate routes he creates seperation at the top of his stem consistently. If you have the chance, take a look at the video cast I posted above, which outlines some examples pretty well. No he doesn't separate like a smaller more explosive player, but he does a good job for his size. Vertical routes less consistent, though.

I'm a big fan of Dotson, would be happy late 1st, early 2nd.

he does well for his size yes but nowhere near a dotson or elijah moore which fit our system better

Agreed, but he does offer a skill set they don't though and currently not on the roster. I think it comes down to, what flavor do you want. Since, JD went hard after Hill, that indicates to me they want a guy that can score from anywhere. London isn't taking a 10 yard slant to the house from the 50, where as Dotson could. London, would be a great high volume chain mover and red zone weapons, al Michael Thomas of the Saints. I'm not saying he's Michael Thomas, but would thrive in such a role.

If I were a gambling man, I'd bet the ranch that the Jets have zero interest in London. He is slow. They have consistently said since they were hired that speed kills and they want speed at WR, TE, RB, CB, LB, Edge, and S. They aren't gonna take some slow WR. People project what they want and think is the right thing to do and then claim that they think that's what the Jets will do, and it's nonsense.

I'll be surprised if it's not 4.7. He looks slow to me. He could easily lead in missed tackles because the PAC 12 is a crap conference these days. Burks played in the SEC with the best players in the country. Wilson played in the 2nd or 3rd best conference in the country. The PAC 12 is at least the #4, maybe #5 football conference. That could easily account for how many missed tackles he had.

I disagree. I think upwards of 85% of his passes in the NFL will be contested catches, and if he doesn't fix his drop rate on contested catches, he'll be a bust. I think he will also have to change his play style in the NFL. With his thin frame, his aggressive physical style could have him on IR or the sidelines more than on the field.

I don't think London has a thin frame. He's 6'4 220. The average height and weight for an NFL receiver is 6'1 and 200 lbs.

IMO it's thin for a player with an aggressive physical style that seeks out contract rather than tries to avoid it. LBs and safeties (and maybe even a few of the faster DL) are gonna crush him in the NFL. I could be wrong of course, but for now we'll have to agree to diagree on this one.

he wants playmakers at any type of player. he made that clear. if a vet playmaker comes avilable he's going all in. I think he wants metcalf but seattle hasn't made him available yet. it's likely we wind up just drafting

His proday is Tuesday, I think. I hope he does the testing and not just the field work. He's put on some weight since playing, so I'm also interested in seeing what his frame looks like.

Agreed, I think he'll continue and try to bring someone in via Trade. I think DK is that guy, the comments from Pete/GM in Seattle lead me to think he could be available. I've heard the Jets have submitted an offer, don't know how real it is though.

Do you have insider info, or just referencing articles/pod casts and what not. Not trying questioning you, just trying to understand the source of your confidence.

I really just don’t want us to draft London or Watson. I’m good with any other receivers Burks, Williams, Wilson, Olave, Pickens, Pierce, Dotson, Skyy, Bell. You are correct it was a bit dramatic.

everything I read from all the sources say jets called on metcalf and he wasn't available. JD implied it as well in his press conference but didn't specify the player but said he'd keep an eye out for any playmaker that comes availble
all seattle media from the GM and HC themselves said they aren't looking to move metcalf and are in the process of extending him. That's their current intent.
Now however if they can't get an extension done then they could look to move him like they did wilson but if he gets extended before the draft it's a moot point. if not they likely move him to get a high pick this year

I said 50/50 balls is what he’s special at get it right.

Nothing else pops off the screen besides him getting blown up a lot and balls going through his hands.

Yes, immaturity is a character flaw. I want a football player not a poser. To me London is a mega poser. Wasn’t good enough to play basketball so he’s giving football a chance. No thanks. Pass.

Plus the injuries are a problem especially an ankle for a wide out.

Give me a receiver who is a true football player, a playmaker that played against top level competition, who is clean with injuries and off the field.

antonio gates wasn't good enough for basketball. neither was tony gonzales. that's not really a good comp. lots of great NFL players weren't good at other sports

Add Jimmy Graham! What’s the trend? They were tight ends. I just am not a believer and I’ve gone back and tried to watch his tape. I watched 2 games he had just last night. Just to be sure I’m not overreacting.

To me London is a luxury pick same Watson. We just can’t afford to gamble at 10 with boom or bust prospects like that at 10. If London is there at 35 maybe I can see JD rolling the dice. If Watson is there at 111 maybe then I can see JD willing to roll the dice. Anything before that is crazy imo.

There are no "injuries". There's a single ankle injury. The rest of the "injuries" are "concussions" you diagnosed from the couch that were never officially labeled concussions by anyone else.

You're basically saying a guy is disqualified from being drafted if he suffers a single injury in his college career.

Nothing else pops besides 50/50 balls? Does the fact that he led all WR prospects in missed tackles forced not qualify as popping? Leading all of them in catches per game doesn't qualify as popping?

I'm glad to see that you have abandoned the "boom or bust" prospects. That used to be your bread and butter in the draft. Kudos to you, my man!!!!
