The Jets will win because Leon Washington going to have a big game with the screen pass Rodney Harrison is there man that stops the screen play and with him out look for a few big screen plays. If we can stop the run and make Brady bet us yes I said make Brady bet us because we all know that the Pats are very weak at WR and Rhodes will have a great game.
Good read #1, turnovers will decide this game if our D can bring plenty of pressure, Vilma hasn't had his greatest season, look to him to have huge day on the back of some clever schemes desinged to catch out the Pats.
English? And Rodney, playing 10-15 yards off the line of scrimmage, stops the screen pass? The Patriots give up the 5th least rushing yards/game. If you think Washington will have a big game, you're in for a surprise. If the Jets are relying on Brady beating himself in the playoffs, they're in for a long afternoon. Caldwell wasn't half the player in November that he is now. Sure, the actual WRs may be "weak," but once you factor in the TEs (Graham, Watson, Thomas), and the RBs (Faulk) into the equation, the passing game isn't bad at all. The Patriots score the 7th most points/game in the league.
I do not believe the Patriots would be allowed to put only 10 men on the field on defense if they wanted to, so the idea that Rodney Harrison not being available to defend against screen passes probably doesn't hold much water. I suppose they could put an 11th man so deep on the field that he never figured in the play (I often use punt receiving formations when I play defense in Madden). To be perfectly honest, if the Patriots did play the entire game with only 10 players on defense I think they would still beat the Jets.
Lets hope that when we get in the red zone we can score some touchdowns instead of being held to 3. Lets also hope that the pats don't get any extra 5th downs or phantom calls. They can almost be guaranteed at least 1 late christmas present by the stripes.
I hope the Pats go into the game thinking that too. Overconfidence is always a bad thing. It's as if you don't respect the opposition.
If you're being perfectly honest when you say that, then you're an idiot. Losing a man on defense for a whole game would cripple any team, this isn't pee-wee football. For one play a team might get by, especially if the other team doesn't notice it. But for a whole game, it would just be ridiculous.
So what do you call all those bullshit calls (see: Asante Samuel pass interference) after Christmas last year?
That would be interesting to see, on defense they could leave a corner off the field, and on offense they could leave a wideout. Honestly, I don't think anyone would notice.
Patriot fans have no respect. Which is why, even though ive always been an advocate of sportsmanship after a big win...when it comes to this pack of Pat fans currently infesting our board....if we pull of the victory...we shouldnt show any mercy.
Hahaha. Madden logic, I suppose. That's hilarious. And so wrong I don't even know where to start. God bless the casual football fan.
I've played Madden with Nugent at QB for the whole game and beat the Pats!!! By his logic this games a shoe in for us...
