Jets raise ticket and parking prices.. Jets are 5-27 over the last two years but they need more money. Haven't been to the post season in over 10 years but its time for the loyal fans to pony up more cash... Makes you wonder what exactly are they spending the money on.. https://nypost.com/2022/01/11/jets-raising-ticket-prices-for-first-time-since-2016/ Just the way it is...
Eh. Everything’s going up with inflation and what not. Not a big surprise here despite the terrible product.
Johnsons do a lot of things wrong but ticket prices isn't one of them imo. In Tri State area, for an 8 game package where every game is valuable, they charge a fair value. My only gripe is preseason. It kills me to pay for those games to be honest.
Being a jet fan has been a near free endeavor. I've been to two games, one against the Giants(Giants home game. Have a friend with season tickets), and one at Foxborough.. again free tickets. I have some jets gear, but they a few T's, hat and some kid stuff
I get what cman is implying--being the rich bitches they are, a cool thing for them to do would be to publicly state that until we are .500 we vow not to raise ticket prices given the subpar product.
As long as the Jets continue to be pathetic, I'll never buy a ticket or anything that would put money in the Johnsons' pockets. But apparently there are people who will, so maybe raising prices is a good business decision. Or maybe it isn't, if the Johnsons' business acumen is anything like their football acumen.
The most surprising part of this centers around the fact that TV money is enormous for these franchises, ow throw in how these owners have their hands in gambling proceeds and you have to wonder why in the hell do they have to put the squeeze on the fans. Raising the price on tickets along with raising the price on parking is just not easy to comprehend. We have some talking heads that continually say you can’t pay attention to fans when things are not going well, combined with these teams don’t get most of their money from fans, it comes from TV money. I believe they are right about the TV money, make attending a game to be fan friendly price wise, PSLs are a joke, 50.00 to park a car come on Woody
First price increase in 5 years. Likely has much to do with rising wages, insurance rates, utilities etc.
How soon they forget. The Jets were shilling to STHs to pay a an optional non-fundable fee to guarantee you wouldn't get a ticket price increase (haha). Go scratch your ass. That was the year I walked after 55 years for a variety of reasons, all to do with THEM (2018). Now they're doing it a different way: Leave a $100 Refundable Deposit for 2022 Season Tickets to Secure the Best Seats & Pricing GTFOOH. One of the biggest problems I have is the way they roll people with parking. Even if you buy 20 tickets as a group as a non-STH, you're on your own. Fck that FO.
I'm from the UK so every time I've been to see The Jets at home it's been by train from Penn Station. $11 return. It can't be fifty bucks just to park a car surely? I can (just about) live with it if you're setting up a BBQ grill for tailgating, drinking your own beer and are there all morning pre-game but otherwise f##k that. By way of comparison when The Jets played in London last October we had five of us in a car. We parked in a nearby shopping centre car park and paid £3.50 (about five bucks) to park all day. That was on-line in advance so no dramas. We then walked five minutes to a park and ride bus to the stadium which was free of charge. This is laid on for every game at that stadium whether the NFL is there or not. You know it but you're getting ripped off alright.
