So 2 top 10 picks and 4 top 40 picks total Should be a good opportunity to accelerate this rebuild into a good team. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Yeah, the Seahawks pick dropping is a bit disappointing, but if someone told you that pick would end up #10 at this time last year? Everyone would have been thrilled. Now they just need to make the right picks.
Trade the 4 down and make the 1st you get from that and the 10. But given how we operated last year it's just as likely we trade up for one of the edges and blow the rebuild completely.
I’m not totally upset @10, hopefully we use it to get the Center. May have been a reach to grab him at 7 or earlier than 10
QBs move draft picks and were in a good spot for others to talk to us. Behind pick 4 sits Carolina and Denver who are both QB needy teams. Behind pick 10 sits Washington, Vikings and the Browns. Wouldn't be supprised to see if we have chats with The Eagles, saints or Steelers as we look to trade down potentially. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
We can actually start saying that we have 4 in the top 38! Carolina doesn’t have the same record as anyone else so that pick will be the 6th pick in the 2nd round (38th). We officially have 4th, 10th, 35th, and 38th.
I would absolutely trade back from 4 to 9 with Denver and take both of their 2nd’s (40th & 60th) this year.
typical that the Jets are in this spot in a year with no hot QB prospects I expect we will draft an injury prone CB and take the first WR off the board only to find the next 3 drafted later turn out great.
The good thing about the Jets picks this year is that there is so little talent on the roster that we're virtually certain to get big upgrades with the best player available at all of our early picks. The best option probably is to parlay the 4 into a bunch of picks and then take the best player available at each pick. That's how you get golden drafts.
Mac gave up two - 2nds to move up 3 spots in a draft in what will be 4 years ago by the time of the draft. I'd take that I guess if JD couldn't get more, but I think he ought to ask at least for both their 2nds and their 3rd, but probably should demand more, especially if another team joins the bidding. If Denver isn't willing to give their 3rd this year, then I'd push for their 2nd or 3rd next year or their 4th this year and next. Hopefully, we could get at least the two 2nds and a 3rd this year. How sweet would a draft of two 1sts, four 2nds, two 3rds, two 4ths and two 5ths? That would give us picks 9, 10, 35, 38, 40, 60, 69, & 75. Denver also has the Raiders 3rd round pick (#91) so they'd still have a 3rd round pick. Surely, from those picks we could come away with very good prospects at WR, OG, Edge, TE, S, LB, and maybe OT and CB
I agree. I was being a little conservative with my comment. That would be the minimum amount I would take but I think JD could get more.
