Considering Covid is running rampant and we have guys testing positive daily, figured we should have a thread to keep track of who goes on and off. This isn’t about Covid so leave shitty political opinions out of here. In the last two days AVT, JFM, Neasman and now coach Saleh went on the list. In total: *Michael Carter the CB, not the RB
TE coach Ron Middleton would be the interim HC if Saleh does not clear protocols. I doubt Saleh coaches this week as he was showing symptoms and willingly got tested.
Anyone who is asymptomatic can play with a negative test. I would be shocked if we don't see some of these guys play Sunday
Super funny how the coach that coaches the least productive position group on the Jets for a decade+ ends up being the interim coach. Not saying Saleh is doing this, but I’d imagine a lot of teams and players are going to lie somewhat about symptoms. If a guy has a cough and a light but manageable fever in a playoff race, I’m sure they’re playing. Also who gives a fuck about Blake Cashman and why is he anywhere near the team infecting everyone. Smh.
100% correct. Which is why the rule change was so stupid. The league had guys lie about being vaccinated and all of a sudden they trust people to tell the truth about a low grade fever?
Yup. NBA too. I don’t know who is having fun watching these games without star players playing. And it’s a competitive thing too… the Chiefs are going to be without Kelce and Hill while they are fighting for the top seed. The only people handling this correctly is the NHL but also, does anyone even notice if they aren’t playing games?
Yes, this sucks for the Jets and their players and coaches, but at least we know their season is done. Hope they all get well soon. My worry would be if I am a great team in a playoff position, get a bunch of Covid positives, then the NFL makes me play with half my roster missing and I am eliminated. That will likely happen to some team in the upcoming weeks.
covid is affecting Vegas and betting lines...Bet the teams that have already had covid outbreaks in the past 2 weeks as they don't have to sit players as long as they're not showing symptoms ie- Take the Browns +7 (Tease to +13)
So how does Saleh come back tomorrow if he is asymptomatic? This entire thing is a cluster fck with the rules. This is what Pelissero said the other day. So these guys only need 1 negative test to come back now https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-covid-19-protocols-194538465.html
This isn't true. There is a very good chance one of the 2 plays, if not both. Rap already said Kelce is asymptomatic and he has 4.5 days to have a negative test before then. Hill probably the same. These guys are probably going to take a million tests until they get one negative and just say they are asymptomatic.
Yeah, so the biggest difference between the old protocols and these new protocols is that the old protocols required 2 negative tests not within 24 hours of each other. One guy would pass one, fail the second. Now with taking one test every day until game day majority of these guys will clear the hurdle.
Right so based off of everything you just posted, there’s no way that someone can test positive and play just because they are asymptomatic. Anyone who tests positive needs to test negative before they come back.
My ideal scenario for Sunday is Jax 27 Jets 24, Zach has 2 TDs 200+ yds, and we secure 2nd pick with chance at #1
I hope so. I have mahomes and it’s semi finals for my fantasy team. I don’t want to lose because mahomes has no one to throw to.
