Kerry Rhodes, i thought he was good but selfish. You have to be a major ass of a player to be good and still have sexy rexy turn against you. His ex wife is a mega hottie too. She should have been with me.
It was awesome when Bowles and Chan Gailey had a chance to get us into the playoffs without ever having to worry about that last week IN Buffalo. We played them at MetLife and chased points all game instead of kicking field goals. If we kicked a FG in the third, we could’ve trotted our kicker out on this 4th down but I digress. Two thousand yard receivers on the roster - one being Brandon Marshall, a borderline Hall of Famer. Instead of dialing up some sort of fade or pick or slant for one of our studs, we dialed up the fourth and 4 slot fucking corner fade route from the 7 with 3 minutes left to this fucking loser. The guy caught 7 balls in the two years prior to us starting him the majority of the year at tightend. And we put the game in his hands. Unbelievable.
Don't flame me too badly, but my least favorite player was Mark Gastineau. To me, he was totally me-first. I wanted to puke the first time I saw him do an elaborate sack dance after a garbage-time sack in a game the Jets were getting blown out of. And who can forget that brainless roughing-the-passer penalty?
No doubt about it one of Rex’s first no.1 defensive draft picks, Tannenbaum wasn'tpicking these guys without the ok from Rex. Mr. play 10 yards off the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 5 and always allowing the first down, Mr, Kyle Wilson. He never changed the way he played and he sucked for years.
I loved Favre as a player before he signed for the Jets - probably my favourite all time non-Jet (don't be an ass, you know what I mean)- so I can't agree with that. For non-playing reasons I'd have to go with Kellen Winslow Jnr, for obvious reasons now, though I was meh about him while he was playing.
Brett Favre. He is a giant exclamation point on the failure of the Jets. That guy strolled into town, got the key to the city, lived out of a hotel room and counted the days until he could fake retire his way to the Vikings. It was such a fun season but all I remember vividly was his fake speech before the Dolphins game and the fact that Iron Man Favre was whining about the big bad Jets making him play hurt. He big-timed the Jets because they were and are managed like a small-time operation and then gave them one of those crippling butt-slaps on the way out the door for their trouble. I guess people forget this because the team was in the AFCC the next season, but it doesn't make it any less true. Fuck that guy.
Why do you take that out on him though. Yea he didn’t live up to the cost but the cost was no fault of his own. My least favorite person ever connected to the Jets is Bradway in part because of that move , and the Doug jolly, mike nugent, draft fiasco but I don’t begrudge any of the players for that. As far as players, Vick was the toughest to root for
