He's been below average. Today he played better. What did you want? Even the best QBs in the league have a bad quarter or 2 in a game.
Notoriously Slow starter so far....after half plays better. Today, the exact opposite. That's not progress, that's lateral movement which is alll the JETS have ever done. Give me 4 Quarters Zach! Let's start there.
Excuses or reality? The reality of the situation is they are a very young team that didn’t have a whole lot of talent to begin with and had to deal with a lot of injuries. They need to play very well to win which they are not able to do very often and certainly not consistently yet.
That Middle was a gravy train allllllllll day. Some of these guys aren't even starters on another team.
Today's performance, which was Zach's second best of the season, was below average. He's had 8 starts, and only one of them (the Titans game) was above average, and even that one was only barely above average. Barring significant improvement the rest of the way, this will be a Josh Rosen-type rookie season, and while there won't be a Kyler Murray for us to draft next year, he can't just be handed the job next year. Especially when the offense has looked better on the whole with journeymen backups and a washed-up Flacco running it.
You're probably right, but if they do that, and it isn't deserved, the locker room will be lost by October.
Formula 1 race was on. Jeddah is a complete shitshow money grab but still better than watching the Jets. All I saw was a good looking stat line for Wilson, then he just way overthrew a ball straight to a defender.
How do you figure? This expectation that fans have? The team understands hes a rookie whos played all of 8 or so games. Only illogical fans think this is a make or break for a rookie. Everyone just needs to stop. This is just getting ridiculous.
Possibly... But I also think these guy, pride and everything, understand the #2 pick the previous year, who's been starting his rookie year minus an injury, is going to get another shot the following year. If they roll him out year 3 and he's this bad, then there's probably mutiny There are very few examples of the Rosen situation ever happening.. and there's no Kyler in the draft either.
If the Organization knew in advance this team wasn't NFL caliber, you think they would have at least cut the ticket prices and the concession prices in half. That would make watching this weekly shit show worth it in person. Right now Jet Fans are paying premium prices for a Div. II college product. If the Jets are so damn young that they can't play NFL football, why did they bother to field a team this year? 5 games left and honestly, it doesn't really matter if the Jets show up or not as they're not winning any other games this year. Because the Jets are so young, the CS gets a pass because they couldn't get the children to understand the game planning? They are children after all so we can't judge them with grown up NFL players. That' not fair. Well, we'll be using the young excuse for years to come. Its a very convenient catch all and explains everything. How stupid were we to expect a NFL team to show up wearing jet gear this season! There were a lot of Eagle fans in the stadium today. Apathy is beginning to take hold.
