Blind faith to me is all about puppies and candy. That things are going according to plan. Nothing wrong with that, I'm just having a hard time having that faith based on what I've seen on the field. That doesn't mean I'm not supporting them on turning the corner, I'm just questioning the approach. Questioning the approach is what's become deningrated around here, even tho we're coming off the worst stretch of football in Jets history.
idzik had about as bad a blueprint in terms of execution as possible. He essentially sat on his hands when we needed a lifeline. I hope we aren't going down the route. Rex had no influence on Idzik either, quite the opposite, I feel Idzik burned him thru inaction.
That culture change could very well be Saleh, as I see the players respond to him in a similar way as they did to Rex. I'm holding hope on that, as Ive got a good feeling about him as HC also.
There was good energy on the field Sunday... especially on defense. Guys were popping up after tackles and showing attitude. The first td was team effort all the way... pushing Carter(I think) over the goal line. If they continue embrace the "All Gas etc." mantra... this season will be fun to watch at least.
That was Idzik in self preservation mode once he was rightfully getting blasted for not bringing on more talent. I think Rex was pretty disgusted with the draft and FA. He was not given much voice at all in that.
Stats as of today for Quincy Williams: 31 Tackles (2nd on team) 5 Tackles for Loss 1 Sack 2 QB Hits 3 Forced Fumbles All in 4 games
That's Progress I like to see with other players too...but which ones want to show up like Q? QW was a no show yesterday but he gets a pass imo
Stats against Miami: 15 Tackles 10 Solo 2 TFL On the season he's got 54 Tackles, 1 Sack, 7 TFL, and 3 Forced Fumbles.
Yeah his speed, instincts are much better suited and needed at the LB spot. I’m sure he’s fully entrenched as the FT starter now, Davis comes off the bench.
Glad the dipshits running the defense have limited him to 20% snap counts the last three weeks. The guy come backs in and damn near dominated. Who makes these decisions?!
I dont get why he was getting less snaps as soon as Davis was back. I was so impressed with his play, attitude and energy then he starts being left on the sidelines.
They were looking to get Davis back to His starting spot/groove alongside CJ but it’s been clear that since he’s been in there, the defense doesn’t appear to be as dreadful as to when he’s not in there. I think they’ve learned their lesson at least now, and Davis just isn’t good for what they ask him to do.
he actually had a good plan. he also took over a crap team that was aging, lacking talent, had no cap room. he shed all dead weight and got us 12 picks. he just whiffed on those picks. if he had hit on half of them, we could had been turning a corner.
