Your right that's why we have had success against them this year, they can watch all the film they want but like Phil Simms said, The Jets re-invent themselves every week. I just hope the young coaching staff doesn't go conservative in their first playoff apperance. But man how great is it having a coach thats been the in the playoffs and hell won Super Bowl's. He will have them ready for this game physically and more importantly mentally. Should be one hell of a game. Go Jets.
jets on the road next Sunday in a game most will under estimate us -- sound familiar??? JETS TIME!!! I can't wait - It's like Christmas all over again! can't believe I have to work this week 6-2 in our last 8 Least amount of points allowed in that span in the NFL - I like our chances against anyone anywhere anytime! My new Kerry Rhodes Jersey is 2-0 -- how can we lose!!!!
This is a stat I've been keeping my eye on. I know we haven't exactly been facing offensive juggernauts, but the D has not allowed more than 1 TD in 7 of those 8 games. They are still giving up rushing yards, but they have been playing very solid ball since the bye week. That's something to feel good about going up to New England.
Well, I did celebrate the Sox '04 win at that certain bar with him and a select few people, but on a regular basis, no. My good friend is good friends with him out here. Me, not so much. Seemed like a good enough guy though that night.
This is the matchup I wanted. We had a nice little chat in the CRK the other night, and while most wanted Indy, I wanted New England. Indy in the dome is just a different team, and the Jets simply don't have the defense to stop that offense in the dome, just IMO. I'm not saying the Jets are going to kick New England's ass, but at least they went in there and won, a little more solace and though the Pats are a great team, they aren't dominant in any area really. Hope for a good game. Cmon Jets!
I wanted NE for the mere fact that Indy have not lost in the dome all year long and that we have beaten NE earlier this year. We matchup quite well with them and face it as good as Leon and Cedric are they wouldent Destroy and shred up the Colts D like we think they could. Do well? Sure. But not kill them. I think Mangini knows the Pats far too well and I think we can really win this game.
I wanted to play NE and not Indy. First, playing Indy in the dome scared me, and they have not lost at home all year. Second, the Jets running game may not be good enough to take full advantage of the Colts run defense. Third, with Dyson out, the Jets pass coverage may have struggled. More importantly, the Pats and BB clearly did not want this match up. Talk about a no-win situation. Everyone expects the Pats to win. The Jets have nothing to lose and are playing with house money. But can you imagine the horror for BB if the hated Mangini Jets beat the Pats in the PLAYOFFS! Plus the Jets always play the Pats tough. I like the Jets chances much better with this team - a banged up Brady, some injured players etc. The Jets are not suited for a track meet in the dome against the Colts. Bring it on!
Larry Johnson will have 4000 rushing yds as he demolishes the colts run "defense". The colts DO NOT matchup against LJ at all. The Jets will prepare for this like any other game. Mature, business like, professional. They'll go out their ready to execute cleanly, and play their hearts out like they always do. It should be an excellent classic old-school football game. I can't wait, and I'm confident in our staff, players, and chances. We beat them once, should have beat them twice, won't make that mistake again.:jets:
Is it odd that 1/3 of the remaining playoff teams were or are Jets Head Coaches(Edwards, Mangini, Belichick and Parcells)
