I dropped the ball here.

My Yahoo picks were made on Tuesday when I still had some sense. The Gang Green picks were made hours later, I believe on Wednesday morning, when I had a fever. The Yahoo and TGG picks were supposed to be the same, but I was so out of it when I picked here, that I just took all the favorites. Here I took Detroit, Indianapolis, and Houston.

I shot myself in the foot. Of course, if DET-IND-HOU worked out, I'd say, "Bring on more fevers."

I can't believe that disaster only dropped me to 3rd place and only 3 games out of first place.

Of course, I am pissed at myself for getting sick. I cost myself three games and yeah, well, I'm three games out of first place.

11th place and only 9 games out..

 

This past week I picked San Diego on SNF and didn't get the point. Week 12 I picked Indy and didn't get a point. Week 10 I picked Chicago and didn't get a point. That's just in the past 6 weeks. I didn't check the earlier ones.

 

I figured nyjunc tied me. I went 11-5. He went 12-4.
I was looking good at 4 on Sunday, having only lost on the Seahawks and Saints.

Look at the three games I got wrong after that point- Giants, Cardinals, and Bengals. In two of those games I was pleased to be wrong. I dislike the Giants. The Bengals loss helped the Jets.

The Cardinals? I don't know. Just a moronic pick.

Thankfully, I picked the Titans and Steelers to make up for two of the bad picks.

 

gah, I have to just assume Delhomme is out. Carolina has screwed me two straight weeks because Fox made it seem like Delhomme was playing.

Thursday each of the last two weeks, I went with Carolina. By the time Saturday night and Sunday morning had rolled around, I learned who was starting and changed my mind, but it was too late to submit these picks.

I only went 8-8 in Week 16, but made up a 3-point difference to get into the tie for first place.

wrong- *Falcons, *Bills, *Browns, *Colts, Jaguars, Redskins, *Cardinals, Bengals

Now, I have nowhere to go but down. That is scary. I will take a 2nd or 3rd place finish because I'd still win something. At this point 4th place or worse is unacceptable.

 

I went 12-4 to get where I am. I know I had Indy & Atlanta wrong probably Cincy & Arizona were the other 2.

 

my awful week 16 basically eliminated me from contention. 5-11

 

I'm going all or nothing this week, lots of crazy irrational picks, don't be surprised to see my name drop out of the top 20... or rocket up to 1st with a perfect week. You just never know.

 

The Redskins sure screwed me down the stretch.

Who knows whether or not these games made me fall to 4th or worse.

Well I'm doing better than expected, but not better than I wanted. Notable correct calls include:

Carolina, NYG, Houston, Pittsburgh

Now the foul ups:

Miami, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Buffalo

I was desperate this week, looks like the gamble will come up just short.

 

one of the keys to picking this weekend was knowing that the football gods were going to pull all the strings to get the Chiefs in.

Those were some crazy events for KC to make the playoffs.

I picked KC to win, but I also thought Cincy and Denver would win.
