my friends a dolphins fan and every year we predict records for both. i said jets 10-6 and dolphins 6-10.
People who said 13-3 don't count. You had to know the Jets were gonna gut out a very tight race and squeak in at the last moment before you get credit in my book.
i wrote this stuff, it is pretty good assesment, but not perfect. "if pennington is healthy we can win 8 games (+/-)2 [i expect him to play for the jets, he plays in all the even numbered years] so im not that dismal" "we won 4 games last year, i dont see how we wont be better. the schedule appears easier, we have a serviceable back up. the oline is better. i just dont see how we can be worse." "i think 8-8, but we hav 13 games that i think we have a good chance in i think we'll be in a lot of close games. if nuge is good, and ST are good, and chad doesnt get hurt. i could see 9 wins. i dont see less than 6. that would be really bad imo"
Yeah, I really don't take any predictions from Jets fans seriously. Hard to predict with your head and not your heart. I guarantee half of those were like "OMG TEH JETS R TEH BEST TEAM EVER!" and they refuse to believe the Jets could have a bad year or they refuse to predict a bad season. I didn't think we'd have a good year.
on august 8th i said "every game is winnable" in the :who we will beat this year" thread.. so throw my name in that mix..
I said 8-8, but I am not completely suprised by the playoffs. I said if Chad stays healthy ALL season, they will have a shot.
I just read pretty much all my old posts and im so pissed. I was incredibly close to saying it like 5 or 6 different times but i always had to ruin it by saying things that turned out to be incredibly wrong.
I'll admit I was anticipating a 5-11/6-10 type year and maybe with a few lucky breaks we would get up to 8-8, but 10-6 and the playoffs is well beyond my wildest dreams. I try to be optimistic, but easy schedule or not, we climbed one heck of a mountain just to get this far.
I didnt predict a playoff birth, but this thread is a little absurd, you make it seem like you think you're better than the rest of us. Congrats on predicting the Jets making the p-offs, but idk if this was necessary braaaah. Happy New Years
I can't say I predicted one. 8-8 maybe, but this? Wow. Being at that game was unreal. This Jet season already might be the best one I've ever been alive for, and it certainly will be if we beat the Pats next week.

I can't believe people are actually taking this playoff birth upon themselves to try and give themselves extra credit for predicting it. ENJOY IT. It's not about being right or wrong, it's the fact that you're teams in the playoffs and all people can think about is individual recognition, when the team itself wins and dies with all fifty three men on the roster, not one individual.
