At this point I know Wilson is in a very challenging situation with the Jets. He is expected to be the starter from day one, a rookie with a lot to learn, leading a young, inexperienced team. His demeanor and poise so far has me encouraged. So when I hear Wilson has good throws I take it in stride, happy but cautious, while with the bad throws or interceptions I feel comfort knowing he will learn from it more and improve his game faster as he continues down the road to the first season game. Playing against Salah's D has been a God send for this young kid. He will have his share of interceptions no doubt, I expect that, but how he bounces back from failure will tell me more than from early success at this point.
Zach Wilson proves he can play in Mike LaFleur’s offense | NY Jets Film https://jetsxfactor.com/2021/08/16/zach-wilson-proves-mike-lafleur-offense-ny-jets-film/
It was said a few times on here but it really is true, practicing against this defense and defensive line is doing WONDERS for Wilson's development. I am so looking forward to the direction this franchise is headed. The youth, the talent, the coaching staff, the hunger in the locker room, the player relationships developing. It is all so positive which is so refreshing. I think we are slowly shedding the skin of the laughable Jets franchise and turning into a franchise many will want to play for.
