First, as you noted, Becton was shown to be weakest against speed rushers, so him having to face that a lot in T.C. is a good thing because it gives him the reps to improve. Second, the defense is always ahead of the offense - it's much easier to break up a play than to make one work. Add to that that Lawson has more actual game time than Becton, and he's got a big advantage. I'm confident that by the start of the season Becton and the OL will be MUCH better than any OL we've had in years.
well that clears it up perfectly. Mims wrote up some charts, Sharrod Neasman took pictures all day, Crowder watched movies, and Perine sat in a truck and sneezed. Nasirildeen kept his eyes on all of them. Was wondering what they did in practice
If they're all three playing at that level, then I'm great with it. Somehow I don't see Keelan Cole keeping Moore off the starting lineup for long though. It occurred to me this morning who Elijah Moore the person reminded me of most, and not in looks but in demeanor and really the approach he's taking this early, and it's Revis. This dude is going to be a killer.
I like that we are making the younger WRs earn their position. The other 3 have been doing it for years. You want their spot, then take it from them. This is competition that lights fires.
I think this is a major difference between Zach and Darnold. With Darnold, they had to worry about his confidence - a legitimate concern. With Wilson, there doesn't seem to be that worry. He seems to treat each mistake he makes as a challenge to himself instead of beating himself up over. I could be wrong, but that's the sense of him that I've gotten from watching lots of film on him.
Great clip! Saleh: "He's focused on trying to be the best QB in the league". I LOVE it! He's not just trying to get better, trying to justify being the starter, trying to justify being the #2 pick, no he's planning on being the best in the league" ! Whether he actually becomes that this year, or in the (hopefully) near future, it speaks volumes about his mindset.
Every rookie is trying to see what they can get away with at this level. Some just get away with more sooner than others.
give me a break. It’s coach speak! You think Wilson is throwing into double and triple coverage to see what he can get away with?
You think we don't realize the bullshit you're positing to see what you can get away with? Like recommending the defense lower their intensity to help Wilson.
