I actually find his struggles refreshing. I am so sick of reading headlines about how guys look amazing in training camp only to suck balls come gameday. A 22 year old rookie QB in his second week of camp struggling is about exactly what I would expect.
funny to read the reactions to bullshit that I dont read cos I havethe BShitters on ignore already.... jajajajaja
Zach Wilson struggling again, looks like that off-set language is already shaping up to pay for itself!
If the Jets had a real QB to go into the season with it might be refreshing. This all-or-nothing crap is not refreshing at all and we're in like the 3rd iteration of it in the last 13 years.
There's zero correlation between how a rookie QB does in camp and how his career will be. So this whole debate is pointless.
I figured this shit wouldn't start until the first preseason game when he throws his first incompletion. Jets fans never cease to amaze me. And if he happens to do well, these guys won't be anywhere to be found. I keep telling my 26 year old son to join the forum and he keeps declining. He said most Jets fans are idiots. Hard to argue with him sometimes.
In the same vain, whenever we have a great preseason, our regular season is usually crap. We've won a few preseason superbowls...with 4-12 teams. If we end up going winless in preseason it wont worry me too much. As long as out starters don't look completely lost in the final game.
They say fans have less patience than ever these days, and judging by all this Zach Wilson talk, it is true. Not trying to put down anyone, but it is ridiculous to judge a rookie QB a couple weeks into Training Camp. It is ridiculous to judge him after 1, 2 or 3 pre-season games too. The hope is that he progresses practice to practice, week to week, game to game. Now Wilson will also have some unfair comparisons from fans to deal with like Sam Darnold, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, etc. Pointless, but we know how people are.
Eh, as much as I like to give shit to people posting here, most of the worst posters here are light years ahead of the random fan I've met at camp or just out and about. I'm sure it's true for most fanbases and people in general, we're all here because the football discussion we tend to get in everyday life is lacking. Most people are football stupid.
Obviously we wont know what we got with Zach until the rubber meets the road during the season. But some of the posters claiming its stupid to draw conclusions from a bad practice are the same ones that came away from Zach's pro day insisting he was the next Mahomes...from a friggin pro day. There are some double standards here.
