I know the season is still going on but i'm just wondering what Free Agents or Free Agent posistions do you think the Jets will go after in the Off Season.

The leading candidates are Mike Turner and Asante Samuel (says the rumor mill).

While we're at it, what current Jets players will be free agents after the season?

Isn't Adalius Thomas a UFA? The Ravens would have to be stupid not to re-sign him though.

Definitly Turner but we should really hold off on these discussions until after the season is over. There is such a lull in activity once the season ends that it is best to have these discussions after. That said, I would love to see us bring in Turner or a high draft pick at RB. Samuel would be a great add but I bet the Patriots resign him.

After resigning, Bryan Thomas, no Jets player of any consequence is a FA. I know Askew and Clement are, and I hope to God they are not resigned.

^ Clement would be good for depth even if he isnt' signed as a starter. He has done a decent job this season.

Umm, no. Washingtons pick is a high 2nd rounder. Why would the Jets trade that away?

Depth maybe. But "done a decent job" is reaching a bit. If you hadn't noticed the Jets run game sucks. And bad RT play is one of the main reasons for it.

Ovie Mughelli has been playing excellent football this season for the Ravens. If acquired, the Jets would then have a quality fullback.

The Jets will have to address the defensive line, linebacker and the offensive line in the draft and free agency. Those are the priorities.

I have my doubts about Michael Turner. After the Derrick Blaylock experiment I am hesitent to let go of draft picks to sign someone else's guy. I would rather keep the duo we currently have or draft someone else. Draft picks are just too valuable in my opinion.

Agreed, I'd rather develop a solid young core through the draft, rather than free agency. Picks are precious, but high risk-reward. I think the FO is solid enough in that are to make me comfortable.

I wouldn't mind getting a NT through free agency, a vet who can step right in and show the younger guys (from the draft) the nuances of the position. Thats wishful thinking though, i don't know who is who among NTs and contract status.
