By DB I mean Douche Bag: My vote is Chris Carter. LOL, I love Haters here enjoy: COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR OK, this might raise some eyebrows, but I'm going with Brees for this honor. Yes, his injury (torn right labrum) didn't occur until the final game of the 2005 season, but we didn't know when he would be able to play again. New Orleans didn't know if he was going to be healthy. That's why there was so much uncertainty with Miami and other teams when he was on the market. Yet, he was able to come back and produce the best year of his career. Some people would say the Jets' Chad Pennington because he overcame a second rotator cuff injury. He has 16 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. That's not a great year. Wow this guy hates the Jets it is kind of funny he would nominate a guy that played the whole damn year.
I don't see how he hates the Jets. Brees came back from a shoulder injury to become the most valuable player in the NFC. Pennington came back from multiple shoulder surgeries to have a good-but-not-great year. It's a topic up for debate, certainly, but he has a fair point.
Chris Carter is not wrong Chad has played well most of the yhear, but any QB who has 16 TD's and 16 INTS is not having a great year surgery or not.
The only case I'd make for Pennington is that Brees has a world of talent around him, where as Pennington had to work with little to no run game.
He's a douche bag... but going with Brees over Chad for comeback player of the year is a legit opinion... I don't agree with it because even though he was injured, it happened the last game of the season and didn't miss any time... so he's coming back from an injury, not time lost... I'm not sure what the intent of the award is but I'd give it to Chad based on time lost.
He makes a valid point. Now, the problem is, most people who vote for this type of stuff vote by numbers... Brees wins there hands down. Of course, our offense is different. Numbers do not say how Chad has made 11 'B' rate players on offense score enough points to be 9-6. Look at the saints.. Tons of weapons. Colston, Horn (when Healthy), Henderson, McAllister, Bush, etc etc.
Exactly. Brees is excellent, I am not disputing that. BTW Carter is a DB and he has said he dislikes the NYJ. Maybe hate was too strong a word.
Ehh another idiot, Not to I'd vote for Chad but his reasoning to vote for Brees is moronic. 1st off Brees was a top tier QB in San Diego so it's not surprising with more than 1 weapon he is having success. 2nd the guy didn't miss any time. By his logic Carson Palmer falls into hte same boat. CPOY is for a guy that was injured, missed time and has had success this year. MVP is for a guy like Brees ......
I was just watching Inside the NFL, and they were doing their picks for Jets vs. Raiders, everyone picked the Jets. Costas then goes "It seems that everyone here likes the Jets . . ." and Carter responded saying "No, I don't like the Jets, I'm just picking them to win." There goes your theory.
Oh BTW my db of the year would definatly be a split between Terible Owens and Michael Irvin. Are these two guys licking each other or what? They deserve each other. 2 absolute pieces of shit.
I don't see the word 'hate' anywhere in your post. Most analysts probably don't like the Jets (on a professional level) because most times they are impossible to pick.

I think Chris Carter does hate the JETS, on Inside The NFL, when they were making their picks and it was said that"we all like the jets" Carter says "I don't like the JETS I'm picking them....
I think Chad's main basis for contention is the seriousness of the problem from which he has come back and the unlikeliness of the comeback. For me that makes him the best candidate. Brees, Palmer, even McNabb, were always going to come back, whether it was week 1 or week 6 this year, Pennington's entire career was in doubt and he's never started all 16 regular season games, before tomorrow.
