Do we want to Denver to make the playoffs or a different team that is currently 8-7? I ask because if Denver makes it we will have the 6th seed for sure and most likely play the colts. If another curently 8-7 team makes it, we will have the 5 seed and most likely play the Pats Honestly, I am terrified now of the colts passing game if Dyson wouldn't be able to play, because he is wearing a huge brace on his leg and he didn't look too good coming off the field. Would you still want to play the Colts now with Dyson possibly not being in there?

I think we can beat the Colts. This is not the same 2 teams from earlier in the year. The Colts run D is the worst in NFL history.

Pats always have problem with Denver. I would be happy to see Pats get beaten again.

    NEJets is right,
    the pats'll lose to denver,
we can beat the colts by running the ball
and keeping manning off the field,
    then well face the chargers
    muahahha
    we cant beat them too
    muahhaha

Honestly I could care less who we play. I just want to play. In the past I would probably root for whichever team we matched up best against/had the best chance to beat. But now, it is what it is. I wasn't expecting to get to the PO's this year(although I thought 7-10 wins was a probability). Since I've been watching this team this year it just seems diff. from JET teams in the recent past(the 98 team excluded). We can play with anyone. If we get to the post-season I want to see what we're made of. I want to go against the best team that whoever we face can field. I don't want any excuses. If we play our game like we can than we can match up against the best of them. IMO.

Chargers might be a better team to play than the Ravens in the 2nd round because of the nice weather in San Diego. Chad will def play better against the chargers defence.

As long as we are in, I'm fine. If I had to choose, I would choose the Colts (us the 6th seed mostly likely) because:

    1. Chad has played well in domes.
    2. Chad has played well against the Colts.
    3. Chad has played well against the Colts in domes.
    4. Indy's D (especially run) stinks.
    5. Manning 3 - 6 in playoffs while Chad is 2 - 2.
    6. I want revenge for week 4.

That being said, I won't mind too much if its the Pats we play as long as we are playing.

I'd like to see the Colts for these 4 reasons.

    1. COACHING - Mangini on his worst day will befuddle the Colts staff, we will be better prepared than Indy. Against Belichicken it's still iffy, first time around Bill won, 2nd time the Jets were more ready to play...I'd rather face Dungy.

    2. Run Defense - We will be able to run on Indy who at times has resembled a pop warner D, Indy doesn't have a big back who can hurt us either. Addai? meh, let me see him in a big spot, he's still a nobody afaik. Maroney and Dillon can hurt us.

    3. Dome - No elements for Chad to deal with. It usually snows in Foxboro around playoff time and Chad would have some difficulty.

    4. Manning in a big spot - Has always come up small, against us before.

    5. Special Teams - Especially kick coverage Indy has been terrible. Miller can have a field day against them on the carpet.

Even if it were the same 2 teams, I'd still pick the Jets. They should have won the first time, they just couldn't keep their head in the game on the last defensive series. They've learned, and it won't happen again.

    Yeah we root for Denver.

Indianapolis is by far the best matchup for the Jets in the first round. They have no run D and they have been far from explosive on offense recently. The Jets have a very good shot at an upset there.

The other reason we like Denver is that they have an excellent shot at beating the Pats in Foxboro in the opening round and we'd love to have the Pats knocked out early.

If Denver loses and we get the 5th seed, we at least have a chance to host the AFC title game.

Cincy or Jax could get in at 6, and win a couple of games, and if we do the same, title game at the Swamp.

The Ravens scare me more than any other team, including San Diego. If we played them, their defense would have a field day with us.

u guys are underestimating the colts. they have a terrific offense that could easily pic us apart. also, the colts d did well against a good cinci offense. the pats dont have game breakers like colts do, and the buzz around that game would be insane

Would you rather face a frustrated Manning or a confident Brady in the playoffs?

Indy has a passing game. That's it. They're an average running team, an average at best pass defending team, and a horrific run defending team. New England has a great defense, and while I think we can beat them, I'd rather face Indy.

All that matters right now is that we win or tie this Sunday against the Raiders. Anything else that helps us after we know we are in the playoffs is gravy; anything else that hinders us after we are in the playoffs is reality.

It is all about work and commitment from here on in. Doesn't matter who you play. There will be no easy wins. Every one is earned through hard work, studying and determination.
