The Jaguars are gonna take Lawrence dont think for a second that they are gonna draft Fields because he recruited him to Ohio State. Now if Lawrence wasnt there would he take Fields?yes but Lawrence is the better player.I think the Watson trade is more possible but still highly unlikely to happen.
The real question is if Urban Meyer thinks Fields is that good then why are we not drafting him and going with our bust QB going into his 4th year with his 3rd coach.Darnold is becoming a coach killer...Even though we all know how bad Gase was he didnt do him any favors.
That's fair, it was reported by "sources." "Sources" are also the entire basis for the "Watson is unhappy and wants to be traded" narrative so maybe he's really happy where he is and nobody has any reason to be making trade scenarios for him in the first place, because the only real facts we know are that he definitely has a no-trade clause in his contract which still has wet ink, and that he posted this on Twitter a couple weeks ago: For all we know, he took a really big shit and wanted to brag about it.
We're gonna draw a little bit of everyone's blood, 'cause we're gonna find out who's the Thing. Watching Norris in there gave me the idea that every little part of him was a whole. Every little piece was an individual animal with a built-in desire to protect its own life. You see, when a man bleeds, it's just tissue. But blood from one of you Things won't obey when it's attacked. It'll try and survive. Crawl away from a hot needle, say.
I saw somewhere (I think @FrontOfficeFanatic posted this in the Saleh thread) but Watson wanted the Texans to interview Saleh. Could that be a factor?
Yeah I get'cha but I don't believe he thinks they are close. Smokescreen szn it's all misinformation in my mind. But yeah IF he really thinks they're close then not terrible deal
Okay okay... let me try Give up joe Douglas’ mini fridge (fully stocked) plus Sam darnold and throw in all 3 hairs left on Selah’s head.... give it to jags jags give us number 1 pick We give Texas 3/4 of the number one pick and we get deshaun Watson with the remaining 1/4 we draft Trevor’s golden hair + his extra small Clemson tank-top with the orange paw print on it... Deshaun plays for jets in 21’ wearing golden hair and paw print tank sounds like a huge W...
Watson shoulda used reverse phycology. He should told the Texans NOT to interview Bienemy or Hales. If he had they would tripped over themselves getting those guys in there.
The Jaguars lose this trade without more first round picks which is what makes it really silly. They can probably get 3+ independent of anything including Watson.
If you were an excellent QB and your coach/GM traded DeAndre Hopkins for a 29 year old RB and the team collapsed to 4-12 you'd want out also. No NFL personnel move that involves real talent or money committed happens in a vacuum. They all have consequences elsewhere and the cool kids understand this. The other kids keep trading their lunches and getting put into trash cans upside down.
They could probably get 3 1s from a team no doubt but then they wouldn’t get Fields and that’s the intriguing part to this. If Meyer truly believes that they are real close as prospects as he’s stated on fox then why wouldn’t he drop down 1 spot and collect a bounty of picks with Fields?
Get me DeShaun Watson please. Give up out #2. They can have fields, give them our 1 next year and Sam Darnold. I would love DeShaun Watson. We have a LT, plenty of cap room and a excellent QB. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Not sure where the other Watson thread went because it seemed pretty relevant to us, but there's been more more developments that really make me think we have a shot. The proposal from Joe D's best bud: And Schefter's reaction to it: This is getting mighty interesting... I personally think now that if you can get Watson and still have first round picks in the next two drafts, you have to do it.
I would absolutely love to watch Watson and a good RB play in the Shanahan system. The possibilities would be endless. I was pretty skeptical two weeks ago but now that I see the type of team we are building and the type of leadership we have, I'm very heavily leaning towards breaking the bank for Watson.
Watson coming to the Jets for all our extra high draft capital would be a disaster for Watson and the Jets. Or should our entire rebuild be Deshaun Watson?
