    He is done, he knows he is done as well, his face after the last INT told its own tale.

    I really wanted him to work, underneath it all he was a nice kid and he did show a lot of promise but Gase and other reasons have fucked it for him here, read that he refused to change his footwork as well and that hasn't worked for him in the end.

    What was telling for me what Folk said...he has more ints in the div then out. that tells me he doesn't watch film for their tendencies. Not sure what JD will do with him but if they decide to roll with him they better spend the off season watching Def game film, and working on his mechanics.

    This team needs a lot of talent ... there are so many holes its disgusting.

    I don't want Sam back, for sure. Give me Fields at 2, or whatever Douglas thinks is best. But I wonder how many people in Miami were saying the same things about Tannehill?

    (I mean, I actually wonder. I have no idea.)

    For the sake of both the Jets and Sam, its time for changes. This can't repeat itself next season. Sam needs a fresh start. Gase needs to get a head start on the lynch mob.

    If Fields has a terrible game against Alabama, it would still be an easy decision to trade Sam and take Lance later on imo

    I understand what your saying, but Tannehill was not on the same level as shitty qb play under Gase as Sam is now. I would cut the cord

    That is not what I said. What if Fields gives a similar performance? Answer would be more difficult now as to who the number one pick would be.

    I was of the mind that while I knew Darnold wasn't the long term answer - i.e. FQB - if Douglas kept him and decided to build around him I'd be ok with that. But now? After watching yet another "Bad Sam" performance, I'm done. IDK how Douglas could skip taking Fields or Wilson (Or maybe Lawrence?) at #2. If he does, then I'm done because I'm too old to be "patient" any longer.

    I liked Sam as a person but damn does he look like shit. I'll hope for his success elsewhere.

    Tannehill was a better QB than Darnold before getting away from the QB Whisperer and turning into a very, very good QB. I simply cannot see Darnold ever turning a corner and turning into a very good QB. Journeyman at best that will tease teams with potential before he ages out of the league...

    a 3rd and a 4th rounder sounds about right for the compensation for Sam. I was hopeful for a 2 but I don't see it.
