The record is what matters. The record gets you to the post season. The record is the primary indicator of how well a team is functioning or not. What goes on inside doesn't mean shit if it doesn't result in wins. Wins matter. Intent and promises don't if they don't result in wins. Adam Gase is a losing HC and has been his entire career with the Jets. That's all that matters and that's why Adam Gase has to be fired. There is no case to be made to bring him back.
That would be the ultimate nightmare. I do not see Gase as the HC to lead this team but as you have stated with inept ownership anything is possible. Just the thought of Gase coming back drives me crazy.

Honestly and with all due respect, thinking that the end of last season was anything but fools gold due to the schedule is way more foolish than thinking an idiot owner who hired this fool in the first place would be dumb enough to give him a third shot. I'm all for looking for silver linings but the Adam Gase last season was no different than the 3 prior mediocre seasons in miami. Boring, predictable play calling, alienating players and fans. The fact that anyone wanted him back this season let alone next is shocking.
Apparently, the team playing hard means he should be retained. Let's forget that he gives a washed up RB the bulk of the touches, failed to develop a young QB, has his head buried in his play sheet, clashed with players, and hired a yes man to be his OC.

LOL what? How many weeks did we find out we wouldn't have FOUR receivers and two linebackers the day before a road game? Literally not once in the history of the franchise. This team has lost 13 games, most of them by a wide margin. I can't believe there are people in here who think Gase should return as coach, in earnest. I literally can not accept that anybody is intelligent enough to turn on a computer and learn the alphabet, but also believes Adam Gase is a qualified NFL head coach after this year. It has to be a low effort sarcastic joke.
Not one soul wants Gase back, none, starting with me. Cant stand the guy. But both the Rams and the Browns had everything they needed to win the game, and they didn’t it. We got our asses kicked with a similar number of people not in the game, so tha is not an excuse.
This is patently false. Again, we have NEVER gone into a game with our entire receiving corps missing on a days notice. They had to have an impromptu practice in a parking lot the day of the game because they were so shorthanded at receiver.
He’s a goner but in all honesty he’s not the worst ever. The team has been injured with a horrid oline since he’s been here and this year the talent available on the team is bottom of the NFL. I think he is below average and definitely not close to good enough but if I’m being honest I couldn’t see that many head coaches doing much better with the same hand he’s been dealt since he’s been hired. The team hasn’t had any real issues, they’re just not good enough talent and coaching wise....Time to upgrade both
