honestly i cant marvel at what this team has done this season. The defense has no stars. The offense is as tough as ive ever seen with recievers getting their heads knocked off their shoulders and coming back to fight to the finish. At times this season, little leon washington has looked reggie bushesque from his usc days. Chad, albeit inconsistent has the heart and determination of a warrior playing for his life. Vilma stepped up in the biggest game of the year. 9 solid bone jarring tackles. Shaun my main man ellis. The epitome of steadiness. The contract is huge, the noice and bickering is minute, but you are a constant underappreciated force that comes to play. Coles, enough said, you've rewritten the definition of tough in my dictionary. Nugent, i ripped and ripped and ripped ur selection and ur early performance, but how amazing was it having the confidence that your kicker would come through no matter the conditions. Finally eric mangini, i remember your first ever interview on mike and the mad dog and how you could barely maintain the composure to put together a few words to keed the media heads happy. You ran a brutal camp, stayed dedicated to the 3-4 despite clear flaws in the personel. But just like this team fooled the world, you fooled an entire fan base. You truly are the real deal eric my man mangini. THank you for an amazing christmas and im loooking forward to partying on the new year. ANything after a playoff berth is gravy considering how last year played out. But how long ago does that seem now?
Yes, these are exciting times. We're finally starting to win some of those gritty games, and hopefully we'll get a huge win over Oakland to go into the playoffs hot. We have nothing to lose in the playoffs because we're "not even supposed to be there". Lets win it all. :jets:
I agree that it was a good win . . but the superbowl? come on . . there have been good times this season, and I'm sure no one would have predicted the Jets being in the position they are now, but its not the superbowl. We've have had some bad times this season too . . the Browns . . Jacksonville .
Why not? We need to shed the negative mentality! We've screwed up hard in the past, but thats all in the past. This team doesn't have me wondering when they'll blow it anymore, this Jets team no longer beats itself. I'm willing to entertain the possibility of a Superbowl shot. We've beat New England in their house, and we've played San Diego enough times to have a good shot at winning. This team isn't perfect, but its good enough to run with the best.

in todays nfl there are no definite things. The jets are the epitome of what can happen from week to week let alone season to season. Can they go out and lay an egg against oakland??? absolutely, is it likely? Not really. Will the jets be a contender if they are in the playoffs? absolutely! I just want to root for the team full on, too many years of fearing a screw up and blowing a game have made me too docile. I barely feel any emotion when we score anymore, because I don't want to get too bent out of shape. Fuck it, next week I'm going to lose my mind watching us play Oakland, and I'm going to enjoy it. We won't lose.
