Studs Pass Blocking - o-line was once again solid in pass protection. against a really good d-line including aaron donald the best IDL rusher in the NFL. we only allowed 2 sacks (none by donald) and sam had plenty of time back there Sam - looked good yesterday. 0 turnovers. Only 1 TD the numbers don't stand out but he spread the ball well. threw it away when he needed to and didn't get picked off or take bad sacks and made plays on 3rd downs. even though it wasn't a TD that threw to berrios in the corner was amazing. berrios needs to make that play. Overall though sam looked pretty legit and much more like rookie sam Herndon - actually showed up finally. caught 3 of 4 targets for 48 yards Ty Johnson - why gase refuses to use him IDK. had 55 yards and a TD on 9 touches. Bryce Hall - came up with his 1st INT of his career. looked good in coverage too. out CBs aren't bad off. we just need a CB1. with hall and austin and jackson and pool we have solid depth. all the young Cbs are looking good so far Marcus Maye - played like a beast all day but that game sealing knock down was amazing. Q. Williams - pressure all day until he got hurt. also had a sack and a TFL. that gives him 7 sacks on the year. really good for an IDL D-line - outside of the JFM jump offsides on 4th down the D-line was dominating. shepard filling in for foley also had a sack and 2 TFLs and JFM had 1 sack and 1 TFL. the 3 starters combined for 3 sacks and 4 TFLs. pretty impressive for a 3-4 d-line. they had pressure on goff all day and stopped the run too. Special Teams - our special teams was in fact special for once. mann had a great game punting 5 for almsot a 50 average and made the game saving tackle on the PR in the 4th quarter. ficken was 3/3 on FGs and 2/2 on Xps. perfect coming back off injury. we also blocked a punt early in the game. ballentine and berrios each had a good return as well. Duds Gase - yup still givign him a dud. he still did not call a good game. but he did call a better one the mcvay who was god awful. running gore 23 times despite his 2.6 YPC average is an embarassment when ty johnson looked so much better and adams who looked great against the raiders didn't even get a touch. WTF gase can't really think of any other duds. we played a pretty solid game overall. maybe sean mcvay for losing to an 0-13 team and being so conservative. maybe goff for being ass?
I have to give Neville Hewitt some love. Its a position that we can improve in the offseason, but man ---- he never misses a snap, - doesnt get hurt & plays his a$$ off. BTW, --- where the hell is Blake Cashman? Hurt again?????
I could have swore you were going to have them reversed this week. The defense played inspired. The offense didn't make many mistakes. But the Rams.... The Rams didn't even look like the same team I've seen in several other games this season. They looked like the sleepy time Rams who fell into a trap game. I blame McVey because they clearly thought they were going to be gifted a win by just showing up.
yeah he’s not looking good to be apart of the core. He’s just always hurt. btw Guidry has been playing great. He’s basically taken Maulet’s role as slot corner.
I have to put Mann down as a Dud for the game saving tackle, the referee that called back the Aker's TD and the block in the back call as well as the OL charged with those calls. In fact there were no studs in this game but just duds on both sides. The Rams failed and the Jets failed even worse.
yah been impressed with hewitt. he deserves a spot on the team next year for sure. mosley comes back. hopefully cashman can stay healthy. ILB and d-line are 2 areas I feel pretty good at. I thought about it but players want to win. the draft will sort itself out. He low key has been good. haven't noticed him much but that's typically a good thing for a CB the refs were being far too kind to us. i wasn't used to it at all
Excellent assessment. The view about nothing but duds presented by some was just sorry ass sour grapes because the Jets won.
Which i get. but once you get past the fact tlaw could very well fizzle out and a well rounded team is always better then a team with 1 star. Look at houston. they suck and they have a pro bowl stud QB. that's what happens when your o-line sucks and you have no WRs.

You view the lost value in a player. I view it in picks. That was just the start of our legendary draft. After that trade we'd be in the position we are now. Ready to clean up and build a dynasty.
I was just watching a podcast review of the game that made me laugh. One of them said that McVay put up the absolute worst coached game he could remember seeing since Gase last week. lol! Marcus Maye I think deserves an extra gold star for this game and his performance overall lately. I want this guy back, I want this guy as part of the franchise, and I want the Jets to just pay him whatever is appropriate.
