    But we did today.

Late season against a down team...ok this was not a terrible team but we played down to their level.

a lot of things did not go our way. no running game, RAIN, coles absolutely mauled, chad throwing wild, muffed field goal.

    our defense held firm.

cleo lemon comes in, plays well and marches them to a score, 7-3. But we answer, clutch cotchery comes through HUGE and it's 10-7. We hold miami....but then the classic jetluck kicks in. muffed punt...CLASSIC JETS as Kassel gets blocked into the ball and it's a turnover. Dolphins march down the field and came dangerously close to scoring, but the D made big plays. Mare kicks a fg and it's 10-10.

Now this is where the same old Jets kick in...what SHOULD'VE happened is a muffed kickoff, a sack of chad where he fumbles, an INT, a 3 and out....but right away leon comes through with a dashing 66 yard reception, the screen play of the gods!!!

I don't know how we pulled this out today, we didn't deserve it.

I hope that stadium is a madhouse sunday, rattle the concrete bowl!

Yep, you can definitely tell the difference from the past. Now starts the new era of Jets greatness

How the **** didnt we desevre it?

it was raining hard, we had no run game, passing was hard for both teams.

Chad had some bad throws, yet he didnt get the deer in the headlights look.

He kept fighting, kept leading the team, kept playing smart.

The **** up on the first field goal, and the muffed punt, both UNLUCKY plays.

Without those, the game isnt even close.

The Jets beat the "same old jets" today.

And to think the name "Mangina" was tossed around before the season started. I just hope we can keep the whole CS in New York for a while.

I love the Orange and Teal irony of the Jets, challenging for a playoff spot, beating the Phins, a spoiler team, in Miami... the same year Phin fans predicted those roles to be in reverse. Utter sweetness.

I just hope Sunday is a party-like atmosphere, reminiscent of the Green Bay game once the result was pretty secure.

I knew that if we lost == it would be in some awful fashion.

We would have to add the "Brad Kassel Game" to all the awful Jets game we now know by the titles: the Blair Thomas Fumble Game; The Fake Spike; The Eric Allen Game; The Gastineua Roughing the Passer Game; The Quincy Carter Game.

Wins dont have names or this would be The Leon Washington Screen Pass Game.

Mangini is the coach now, don't expect to lose unless the other team is actually better then us or we turn the ball over multiple times.

Wow, you are so right. The "Brad Kassel Game" played in the "The Miami Moat".

I died when that play happened. I have seen this so many tiimes int he past and we don't recover (bounce back). Just a tremendous statement to what Mangini has instilled in these players.

We deserve this sooooooooooo much after last year.

That was my prediction back in August that a 4-10 Jets team would roll into Miami on X Mas and beat a 8-6 Phins team fighting for their playoff lives. Not only were the rolls reversed but they didn't knock us out of the playoffs.

Well we still don't know what time the game will be, GB 2002 was at 4:00, this one could still be at any 1:00, 4:00, or 8:30 and each time will create a different atmosphere.

    It's been determined, it's at 1 (the 8:30 game is GB-Chicago).
