Guys. As you know we have a draft forum.

I know we are already in tank mode and looking forward to upcoming draft but I plan to move all Lawrence and Draft related topics to Draft forum.

What do you guys says. Please chime in?

    @Cman65 @Petrozza

My bosses. What is your take?

I’d say leave them. Not like there is much to talk about in Jets forum these days.

Draft talk definitely gets more action when it’s in the Jets forum.

I despise discussing the draft during regular season.
This season has changed that. It is the only interesting thing we have to talk about in this Jet mess of a season.

I look at Message Boards like Newspapers.

Newspapers have sections for all news. Sports have its own section as well. But sometimes, when the main topic in the country is a sports event, that is covered at the front page of the newspaper.

I don't know if we are there yet. I just wanted to listen to you folks because right now main page has tons of Draft related threads.

I think the draft forum gets less traffic so threads there tend to die.

IMO threads related to the Jets own first round pick should stay in the main forum. Who the Jets draft with that pick is arguably the biggest story we have going on. The draft forum can have all the other draft topics, including who the Jets may draft with later picks.

I like the draft stuff being in a separate forum. We discuss what the Jets should do with the top pick here, but there's plenty of other info that should stay there such as the draft game.

Yeah--like this Wilson BYU thread is very engaging--it wouldn't blossom in the draft area. But your newspaper analogy is still apt. Its just that we're not even looking at the lifestyle section.

If this draft wasn't so critical to the Jets future, I would say move these threads to the draft forum. This is THE most important draft of the 21st century for the Jets and as such, I would say leave them here. Besides, there's really nothing else Jet related to talk about anyway.

Brook, can you leave the TANKATHON or most active "tank-related" thread in the NY JETS forum so we have that one at least ? All the others can be in the DRAFT section.

Let's face it, this is a special year and normally we rarely visit the DRAFT section except in the weeks leading up to the draft.

    But not this year. :D

True but why are people incapable of moving the mouse a millisecond further down the page and selecting 'draft forum' it isn't really hard work, it always puzzles me tbh

Just like when I was a paperboy delivering a thing called the radio times (tv listing magazine for BBC 1 and 2 TV stations) there was another magazine for ITV and the old folk would order just one of the magazines as they would get up in the morning and put it on BBC1 and leave it there all day long, 3 channels to choose from but nope they would watch just one?

    Fucking insane.

You can't win games without receivers, pass rushers and cornerbacks. The next two drafts and FA can get quality at all those spots.

But it's not really as simple as "...moving the mouse a millisecond further down the page and selecting 'draft forum'". Sure, upon first entering the forums from the Main page (and I almost always enter from a link in an email alert from the Forum page so I bypass that step altogether), you can scroll down and then click on Draft Forum, but if you're posting in the Jets Forum, you have to exit out to the main Forums Page and then scroll down to the Draft Forum, and then when you want to return to the NY Jets forum you need to reverse those steps. Yes, it's not like mining coal, but it is more cumbersome than just clicking a thread from where you already are.

Maybe they could create a "sticky" link on the NY Jets Forum page that can take you directly to the Draft Forum? Lazy? I just prefer to think of myself as a "seeker of efficiency".:p

Moving them would be a Jets/Darnold situation. You’d be setting those threads up for failure.

    Hmmm, let's see...

Weather in the weather section; tailgating in the tailgating section; hunting and fishing in their sections. We discuss politics in the politics section (probably a mistake); plenty of bullshit in the BS section. Game threads in the game thread section and general Jets discussion in the Jets section. Everyone somehow manages to hit a button or two to get where they want to go - why wouldn't they be able to find the Draft section?

The draft only serves to clutter the Jets section - there's a reason it's always been kept apart but no good reason to combine it anywhere else.

I would leave all the TL and tanking discussions here as that is the focus of this season but discussions of individual players, FAs, offseason plans or mock drafts I would move to the draft forum.

    Just my 2 cents.
