The international posters are some of my favorite on this board. They add plenty of "flavour", and you know they down when still posting about this team in 2020! If i ever move to another country again, it may be to get away from this team lol.......so probs to you all.
Thanks Brook! I’m a regular lurker - perhaps I might post a bit a bit more when we have something more positive to talk about. Like having Trevor Lawrence and an actual head coach on board next year (hopefully Matt Campbell). I’m also hoping to get over next year for my first game at MetLife. Season ticket holder for the London games but desperate to finally get over to New York for a game or two.
Manchester. I thought I was the only UK Jets fan as I never seem to see Jets merch anywhere. I haven’t posted here for well over 10 years but it was great to log in and see this thread on page 1
Damn 4 years as ambassador and that's all Woody can do to drum up support for the foreign nationals? What has he been doing over there?
Seems like he wanted to enjoy London and high society. Personally I would have lobbied for ambassador to an exotic location. In years past I'd replace "exotic location" with good food but the food scene in London has improved dramatically from when I was last there in 1999 to when i was there 2 years ago. Most people don't realize but most "western style" Indian food originated in London, not India, like Tika Masala. I love a good spicy Tika Masala that isn't too buttery but I'll take a great Vindaloo any day over western style Indian food.
Love the smell but not the taste unfortunately and I have tried over the years, now I am lactose intolerant so the cream and yoghurt based ones are now no no's anyway lol I think the perception Brits eat badly is very ingrained into people psyche but it is far from the truth in reality.
I attended that game with my two boys and we loved it. I wore my Ken O'Brien jersey from 1988 and it felt great to be surrounded by so many Jets fans. Plus, we squished the Fish! (Although the Dolphins mascot was hilarious, to be fair.)
