The Bills look legit for a decade with QB and actual HC
The Dolphins look legit for a decade with QB and actual HC
The Pats will always be there if BB is the HC

THE Jets have the Johnson bitches, plus Gase-hole, and a fat rich GM who might be the next Idzik (riding coat tails of successful others), and zero fucking talent.

So here we are. We missed our shot. The Bills and Fins beat us to the spot.

We are doomed for 15 more years.

THIS IS WHY you need to cut your losses ASAP in football. Just ask the Cardinals.

This is the urgency missed by the Johnson fucking mooks- they are too sheltered and pussified to know what urgency means.

in the NFL you can turn it fast only if you move fast. The Johnsons are sloth speed.

    Wasted opportunity because of stupidity

So the Bills had time to get Allen?

Miami had time to land Tua?

But our Jets won't be in position to draft Trevor Lawrence?

We'll be in the AFC East QB party before you know it...

im saying that even if we “improve” it will not be easy to make any noise or matter much (for a long time) ... the Johnsons have put us behind two other formerly incompetent franchises by having no plan or intelligence since 2010.

I had a student (Fifth Grader) ask me in the chat of our Google Classroom today.
“Mr. B, why are all the teams you root for terrible?”
My class all knows hat I am huge Jet fan and today he was showing off his Red Sox shirt, thinking I was a Yankee fan. When I told him I was Mets fan that was his reply.

I can’t wait for us to get back to playoffs so I can do what I did in the back to back AFC championship seasons.
Every playoff weekend, they knew if the Jets won they would have no homework that week.

It's a waste of time worrying about anybody but ourselves....regardless of what division we are in we are 2-3 years from being legitimately competative.

    Agree
My “worry” is Chris and Woody

the salt in the “worry” is that while we fumble fucked ourselves for a decade, these two shit teams have now become good

my point is you cannot accept a mistake even if you look stupid. There is no time.

I'm not sold that Allen or Tua are the type of QBs to fear for a decade. In 5 years I think there's a better chance they're no longer with their current team, than they are considered elite.

In short, so long as Douglas is who I think he is, I'm not concerned about this.

The Kotite jets went from 1-15 to 9-7 the next year. Not saying that will happen again, but decent coaching does make a difference. It also helps if you don't play a running back and quarterback old enough for social security.

GM is the best thing this team has going for it. His first draft was better than the last 4 GM's at least. But the problem is Johnson's. They are just cashing paychecks

I saw a mock draft that the Jets will pass on Trevor Lawrence and take Justin Fileds QB from Ohio State. I almost threw up.

That's called "outsmarting yourself". Unfortunately for Jets fans, this is far too easy to do for the Johnson Clowns.

Most NFL divisions have a tremendous amount of parity year to year even if there's one team that usually has the upper hand.

The AFC East under Brady/Belichick for twenty years and the AFC South for a decade with Peyton Manning are the two outliers.

I think we'll see a lot of ebbs and flows of the division to be honest. Even if the Bills have a good squad and the Dolphins appear to be rising, neither have a dominant player on offense or defense that can set them up for a decade of dominance.

When your winless 10 games deep nothing should be off the table in terms of replacing everyone. I feel ur pain man trust me.

Gase needs to go plain and simple.

Douglas has a bit of a longer leash I believe. Not earned by any means yet. I believe his fate should come down to the new head coach. I want a true head coach Alfa dog that wants to win and knows how to win and if he wants to shop for the groceries then so be it! JD needs to be a bonafide scout for him, if the coach wants him at all.

Respect on the field starts with the coach. He’s the leader of men. We can’t fuck this up this time. Especially if we actually get Trevor.

I think one or two good offseason's puts the Jets right back in the division hunt.

Miami- Is anyone really confident that Tua is a ten year starter at Miami? He's gotten outplayed in Miami every step of the way and got benched this week. I mean there's a chance he could be a star, but I certainly dont think we have enough to go on yet.

Buffalo- I feel like they'll be good for a while. Josh Allen's not Peyton Manning or anything, but he has gotten better every step of the way and Buffalo continues to make his life easier. Definitely the team I'm most afraid of.

New England- They're almost as bad as the Jets. Without the greatest QB of all time, they're just a normal team with a great coach.

Assuming the Jets lose out, they definitely have some building blocks to work with. They'll have an elite QB prospect paired with an elite (or soon to be elite) LT. In addition they'll have a bevy a picks to address the OL and WR early. Combining that with a good coach and plenty of cap space, the Jets could turn this around pretty quick IMO.

Football changes so fast. Week to week, not year to year. The Jets need to keep building and they will be back in the AFC East race before you know it. The division could be competitive for years to come, you know, like a normal division. We are so used to it being the Patriots and then 3 bad teams. It will be nice to have a balanced 4 team race for the next few years to come. I welcome it.

I know Allen is great right now, but I'm not buying this is his level for 5-10 yrs... maybe even less.

He has an extremely good team built around him, and hes a young buck. QBs like him eventually get injured and slow down, it's just reality. And im of the opinion of that they won't have a team this well built forever.

He's just not an accurate passer... similar to Jackson, and look at him now after 1 mvp season.
