I know it passed the Florida House and Senate but not sure if Rick Scott ever signed it. Unfortunately the final decision is up to Congress if a state can opt out of the Uniform Time Act of 1966.
Hate to be that guy but just to clarify, we recently switched back to standard time, i.e. we switched out of daylight savings time. I think what most of you are advocating for is permanent daylight savings time, not doing away with it. I totally agree with that but feel like there's actually risk of a bill/proposition getting passed eliminating daylight savings time and everyone voting for it not realizing what they're actually signing up for.
either way, it's a pisser when it's pitch black when we're done working for the day."sunset" now 5:30... dark by 6, and were a month away from the solstice... I drink enough as it is
