Nice topic. To be honest it’s quite sad that when we finally get the team healthy Sam is not. We never can see what thing could be like moving forward. The dude does not ever catch a brake.
I guess U have to be reminded we are 0-4 N Gase is still our HC My suggestion to U is find something else to occupy your time for the remainder of the 2020 FB season
Oh hi Larry, seriously I am not above any role. A quick cameo would be totally cool. Although if you did want to feature me in an episode I would be up for that too, maybe you can have Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the same one. I think she’s foxier owe than ever now and maybe it could be a meet cute that gets steamy and then carries over into real life....... Just keep me in mind!
The Jets have been vague about the severity of their injuries. Both are eligible to come off IR this week, and have been since last week. Even if they were ready to go last week, it would not have made sense to activate them on such a short week without time to prepare. Today the Jets will announce which players are being activated. Most expect Bell to be activated, but we could see a few others as well. This article is from when they and others were placed on IR to start the season.
Not the point. We know the talent isn't great but to get back 2 of the top 3 WR back and the starting RB into the mix, we MUST see Sam with this group to see if these it anything left to salvage. Getting Flacco in there despite what he does proves absolutely nothing. As fans the only thing left this season is to see if Sam is worth anything at all, be it the future long term answer at QB of the NYJ or someone with any bit of trade value.
Playing Flacco does prove something. If Flacco outplays Sam, then we know Sam is toast. If Flacco is significantly worse, then we can blame the team for Sam's struggles.
Just because Flacco outplays Sam doesn't mean that Sam is toast. It could just be Gase and Gase's crappy offensive system. Sam is not a good fit.
I wouldn't spend much thought on it, Flacco is not going to outplay Darnold, if he even plays at all.
If Sam can't outplay a guy who was never any good to begin with and hasn't been a full-time starter since 2018, Sam doesn't deserve to be our starter after this year.
You are correct, she has aged well. She seems to be impossibly happy with her marriage, though. Maybe it's all a sham, and you have a shot.
I disagree. Scheme fit can be everything. Although Flacco has never been that good and isn't even remotely likely to outplay Sam, he is probably closer to the type of QB (i.e., a pocket passer) that Gase's scheme is built around, so he possibly could outplay him in Gase's scheme. In about any other scheme, Sam should blow Flacco away.
Update: Vyncint Smith, Le’Veon Bell, Blake Cashman, and Jabari Zuniga are activated of IR. On Wednesday, Mekhi Becton, Breshad Perriman, Sam Darnold, Bless Austin, and Jordan Jenkins did not participate. Chris Hogan and Ashtyn Davis were limited. Jamison Crowder, Chuma Edoga, and Jordan Willis were full participants. The DNP’s have 2 days left to get healthy, but with Joe Flacco as the starter, it almost doesn’t matter. Hopefully the main guys will be back by the Chargers game.
Thanks. Looking forward to see Smith and Zuniga. the most. I sure would like to see some positives come out of this game.
Yup. Flacco has been a poor accuracy quarterback his entire career. He's never been a WCO guy. The addition of Marty Mornhinwheg (notorious WCO coordinator) ended up in Flacco losing his job in Baltimore. He's a down the field thrower with a big arm. We're going to find out a lot this weekend. If we start hitting plays down the field, we're going to find out a lot about both Gase and Darnold.
