We only need help from one game, and that's the NE/JAX game. We need NE to knock out JAX... if that happens we control our destiny. We are currently competing with three other teams for the two WC spots... so that means we need two out of the three of them to lose one more game. Two of those teams are DEN and CIN... and it just so happens they play each other this week... so that's one L there, doesn't matter for who. If NE wins, we control our destiny, if NE loses, then we'll all be praying that either TEN knocks off NE next week OR the winner of the DEN/CIN game loses in week 17. Yes, we need help... but we aren't as far outside as you may think.
ill be there thank you very much its gonna be awesome the best christmas present would be a jets win and a dolphins loss. even better
NO I want to see a Walter play the last two games. A Brooks is not going to be back at 15 million dollars(basically on one year deal) Its really silly not to let the Kid finish out the season. Shell going with Brooks to start against KC this week, but like last week it wouldn't be supprising if we saw both Qbs play this week.
They very well might turn out to be as good as the 2000 ravens defense or even better(not to distant future). Unbelievable how young the raiders defense is. Lets see 25 CB Asomugha CB Fabian Washington 23 (playing as well as any starting duo in football. FS Schweigert 25 SS Huff 23 third CB Routt 23, WLB Thomas Howard 23, MLB Kirk morrison 24, SSLB Sam Williams 26(Next year could be 22 Darnel Bing who looked great in preseason) LDE 28 Burgess LDT Tom kelly25 (27 Sands should be in his spot and Kellyshould play in Sapps or at RDE) W Sapp 34 (Kelly or a AHawthorne 25 ) RDe 27 Tyler Brayton - Kevin 24 Huntley has justb played the last two games, but has looked very good in both games. Giants loved him but Huntley saw what they had at DE and signed with the Raiders. Scary Part is both thomas Howard and Huff are going to be so so so so much better with a year under their belt. Not to mention D Bing will bring even another element to the defense when he comes back from year on IR. They just need some very minor touches to the defense to make it unbelievable good. Could use another big body at DT(depth) and a nickel CB. All three of there top cbs prefer playing the outside than the slot.
Sorry for double post. Raiders very well coukld PIck One of the DTs(ABranch) with their number 1. (wouldn't rule it out) They could ignore the offense, for simple fact that they could get more bang out of their buck for improving a very very good defense even more.
Funny thing about that, I actually would have no problems with Jax winning that game. I think the Pats will lose to the Titans, that defense has been playing really well, and VY seems to usually do enough to win. We can win the division...
First congratulations On being made a moderator on this board. Second you don't know what the heck you are talking about. Somethings never change. Instead of showing you where you are wrong(Never seems to register with you) I will just wait two more weeks for you to see,(What everyone knows) just how good the Raiders defense is for your self. Than tell me what you think.
Again you would be wrong. Your the Only Poster on here who actually makes me look smart. Make that Two- ROBA. Why would I possible put you on ignore.
how doesn't he know what he's talking about when he proved his point by providing statistics that are relevant to his point. if anything, it sounds like you don't know because all you rebutted with was, "just wait two weeks until you see it on the field." hah. cheers
For those who did not see the NFL network last nite they announced that Shell will be fired after the NYJ game
I heard that. I just have a difficult time believing it. When he hired Art, Crazy Al Davis made such a big point about how his one big regret over the years was when he fired the first time around. If it does happen, Art, for his part, will spend the next several years angrily regretting that call he made to the Idaho bed and breakfast, pulling Tom Walsh out of retirement. Let's give ourselves an early Christmas present, hop in the Wayback Machine for a moment, and visit ghosts of Raiders-past. Raiders Hire Windshield Washing Hobo
Well it appears to me that the Raider players have broken his will cause when I see him on the sideline he looks like a beaten man so maybe Shell does not care any more. Situation seems to be real similar to Kotex when he was here
HAH! Jeezus, Jeaux. You got me with that. For a minute I thought you were being serious By the way, do you think Bobby Petrino's high school son will allow him to leave Lousiville for the Raiders this year?
