I went to the Butler vs IU preseason NIT game at Conseco Fieldhouse, and we got on ESPN 3 or 4 times with my sign that just ready "SportsCenter is NEXT!" with Butler logos all around it... That's the easiest way....
I think you gotta go with: Even Santa Picked New York It's the easiest and quickest to process. If they're gonna give you your 2-3 secs of fame, they want the audience to understand it right away. The "exceeding silly preseason notions" is clever, but remember that not only is it a national game, but it's on xmas which means a lot of families may be sitting around watching the game that may not watch much football at all. There's a good chance they had no idea what preseason expectations were. Also, i don't know why, but using the phrase "national television" in the sign just doesn't seem right for some reason.
