Can you believe it? The Jets are playing on Christmas, on Monday Night Football and it MATTERS! The Jets, Our Jets, the team most "Professionals" predicted would be 4-12 or 6-10 at BEST has a realistic chance to finish 10-6 and make the playoffs. CAN YOU FREAKING BELIEVE IT? If anyone told me this in August I would have laughed and said that I wish I'd be that lucky. Well, thank you Mr Mangini and thank you to the team. You have already exceeded my expectations and everything else is just gravy. But I LOVE GRAVY, So Keep Pouring it On! </end feel good rant>
My attitude in August was a situation like this was possible, albeit remotely possible, IF and only if Mangini turns out to be a superb head coach. I like how things have turned out.
Well...I, for one, cannot friggin' wait until Monday. Everything went to plan last night and we need the same to happen this Sunday. The Jets have to play their asses off in Miami on Monday, but we can do it. No more splits! It really is one game at a time for this team. We are not good enough to expect anything, in my opinion, but we are good enough to win 1 game this Monday and another one the week after that, and then see how things shake out. This Jets team in the post-season would be surreal.
AMEN BROTHER!!! What a ride this year has been.. I know Fatcessa says the same thing, "the jets fans sure have had a good ride"... and I have to agree with him... This has been a great year.. I absolutely love my JETS.
This is so much freaking fun, I can't express it. All these teams are TIED for two playoff spots? I love this! EVERY game seems to matter!
I love the way Schottenheimer game-planned against the Vikings. The guy is a freakin' genius at exploiting weakness while keeping DEFs guessing. His toughest game by far will be this one, because the way Miami handled the Pats, it looked downright scary. Miami will be coming after Pennington looking to create the Chinese Firedrill effect. Our O-line has to manage Jason Taylor and Company or hell will break loose, but I think we come out on top.
Okay, I think I'm going to have to break it to my wife that I will not be going to her families house Christmas night. I know that would make me a skunk, but do I really want to watch this game with a bunch of whining Giant fans. What to do, what to do???
HTML: because the way Miami handled the Pats, it looked downright scary. Do you guys think that a big reason for that scary beating by Miami was due in large part to figuring out the Pats signal calling during the game?
I don't know, if the Jets win that might be pretty fun to watch the game in front of Giants fans. Especially if they lose on Sunday. Who would of thought of that Scene? The jets on the verge of the playoffs and the Giants out of it on Christmas?
 I'm with you man. My girlfriends entire family are Giants fans, they will probably be more interested in the Christmas ham than watching this game. I think I may need to "go get more egg nog" and head to a Champps or something. :finssuck:
Yeah, the way the team was all torn up last year and to come back from injuries, clean house and get an O-line is unbeilevable, who would have thought the Jet's would be where they are now. I'm so proud of this team.
It is not just Mangini. You have to give props to Chad. I will be honest and tell you I did not think he had anything left and would be on the bench by week 6. He has had some bad games (what QB doesn't?) but does anybody think we would be where we are with PR or KC starting?
I'm psyched as hell for this game as well. Miami is a good team that worry the hell out of me, but man do I want to see us shove it down their throats.
Just imagine if the officiating crew in Cleveland had proper vision exams this year and they had made the call correctly on Baker's TD....we wouldn't be going through all this stress.... OR if our defense could've at least made an effort to stop Peyton Manjuice from single-handedly pimping us in the last 2 minutes of the game at the Meadowlands....
