jags vs. patriots 1pm CBS. Thats right folks, pull up your chairs, enjoy a jets free sunday and although we all hate to do it, root for the patriots!!!!!!!!! The game will be on cbs as part of a doubleheader so it'll be nerveracking rooting for the pats but just like manning came through today i have a feeling brady can pull it off in jaxx. the patriots probably wont score over 21 points so we need to hope they pressure gerrard into mistakes. I just wanted to point out that we get to watch the game on sunday and ultimately find out by 4 oclock wether we control our own destiny or not.... Lets go j-e-t-s

Ahhh it's gonna be painful to root for that fudgepacker (Brady) and his crew...kind of like going to the dentist...it will hurt at the time, but will be for the greater good.

The Jets just need one Jaguars loss. It can be at Kansas City. The Chiefs have already dropped a December game at home. That's rare.

The odds will not be with Jacksonville on New Year's Eve.

Can't count on the Chiefs to beat the Jags. The Jets need the Patriots to win on Sunday.

It is an extremely big game for the Jets...it would be nice to know we would control our destiny against the Dolphins and Raiders.

    Go Jets!

It makes it a hell of a lot easier to root for the pats if you put some money on them......

I'm sorry I understand where everybody is coming from but in my mind if you have a chance to win the division YOU ROOT FOR THE TEAM THAT WILL MAKE THAT HAPPEN. I don't care if it's NE, we have a chance of winning our division for the first time since 02, and the majority of this board is making it seem like a forgone conclusion that the Jets have no shot at the division. Little chance? Yes, but a chance none the less. Root for having the best possible outcome occur because that's exactly what Mangini expects from this team.

Hey if the Pats lose their next two and the Jets win out you wont see anyone shedding a tear, but you will see a majority of jets fans rooting for the pats this Sunday nevertheless because it is the easiest way to get the Jets in the playoffs.

I'm rooting for the Jaguars to lose and that's it. As long as the final score has the Jaguars scoring the fewest, I'll be happy about the Jaguars losing.

Seriously, If the Pats lose this week I don't think its all that bad of a thing.

Because the Jets would have multiple teams that they could get a loss from and jump into the playoffs.

I think the main thing is that the Jets win on Monday. If they can do that and then put a hurt on the Raiders we could have a coach of the year on our hands.

And you know everyone would be talking about the Jets then!

Im taking the safe road and hoping the pats win and get "the help" that we need out of the way....Id rather not have to root for vince young to beat the pats or god forbig Herm to beat jax

    Exactly...

Now that I think about it though...how insane would it be if the Pats did lose and we beat Miami on MNF? It would be a pretty intense week 17 much like 2002...
