I can't imagine even the most uneducated gun owner would attempt to board a plane without looking into how the laws work in the post 9/11 era. I feel like he's not the first athlete to be caught trying to do something too but I could be wrong.
OTOH, it supposedly does allow for anyone to bring firearms anywhere they so choose. Or so the interpretation used. Airplanes? no... Schools, State Office grounds..... The Reality is QW was an idiot thinking in this day and age he could bring a pistol on an airplane? . Ignorance of the local law is not a defense. Neither is NFL privilege....
Gun wasn't loaded, that makes it a little less idiotic. I'm willing to chalk this one up to him being 22 years old, not understanding the local gun laws and having no one around him during the offseason to guide him.
I just fired a Glock 19 the other day at a range down by AC. That thing had some kick to it and my buddy who is ex Marines said that was nothing. We then started shooting a 357 Smith & Wesson and it made the Glock look like a paper weight. I'm not a gun guy and honestly think federal gun laws should be way stricter. Honestly it was a little scary and I'm pretty adventurous. The general public, minus law enforcement, military, etc, does not need access to these type of deadly weapons. I'm sure QW will be selling plenty of these back at his local Walmart in Alabama after his shortened pro career.
WRONG! but back on the subject of Quinnen Williams. I believe if one has both a firearm and ammo, the only way for it to be considered not loaded in NYC is if he had them in separate locked containers.
What a fuckin dummy. Now we are going to have to hear the unfunny DT at 11 jokes incessantly for the next 2 months.
I legitimately lol’d at the placement of this post as I was scrolling down the thread. Also you’re right.
I don't care how old he is and I don't care if he didn't know the state law. If he is responsible enough to own a concealed weapon, he must be responsible enough to stay in the know about where he is and where he is going with the gun. Inexcusable and flat out disappointing. Josh Allen was there!
no one to "guide him"... WTF he needs someone to pack his bags and remind him not to bring his gun on the airplane? He's a grown man not a child, even if he is cute and cuddly
It doesn't matter what anyone's thoughts on gun ownership are, or if you're a country bumpkin, or someone who's always grown up around firearms........ YOU'VE GOT TO BE A STUPID MOTHERFUCKER TO TRY AND CARRY ONE ON A PLANE!
I'd hope that Woody would at least buy the guys some green jackets........ unless this kid plays DT for LSU
