And yes..another Season down the Tubes with no playoff appearance We can still fight for a better draft spot if we manage to Lose but Gase won't let that happen so he can boast going 7-9 on Twitter burner account
They said Matt Barkley will be playing at some point, so I imagine they're going to pull key starters.
Their is nothing to be gained by winning this game against a disinterested Bills team who are looking ahead to WC weekend. 6-10 or 7-9 doesn't matter. What matters is Joe Douglas needs to have a good offseason in FA and the draft. By the time next season rolls around nobody will remember or care about the result of this game.
Would like to see the Jets destroy the Bills in what is going to be played like a preseason game for them, will settle for a close win. Either way hope Darnold plays well and ends the year with a mistake free W.
Say what? Why would the Jets pull their starters? Their starters will be pulled for the next 7 months.
Too bad we could not have fast forwarded to this game in week 1 but then again too bad we can't fast forward to a year or dare I say it 2 years from now when Adam Gase will actually be fired. I hope Sam plays well and that there are no injuries but I also hope the Bills backups embarrass and beat us as I will be rooting for the Bills in the playoffs. Why should they expose their cornerstone pieces to playing a preseason game? There is no reason to play guys like Darnold and Adams once Buffalo pulls their starters. They should follow the Rams and bench their players.
Because for the Jets it’s not a preseason game, it’s game 16 of a 16 game schedule. For the Jets it’s a chance to win another game and finish the season strong. Darnold & Adams have already missed multiple games this season each, they each need to play, play well and win a game they should win. It’s not even a consideration for a team out of the playoffs to rest their starters in week 17, it’s such a laughable suggestion.
I guess it is. Players still get paid but they don’t want to risk being on the hook for guaranteed money due to injury.
If we play our starters and Darnold or Adams get hurt against their preseason trash it would be a total Jets move. I don't see the difference in us benching our starters and them benching theirs. We have nothing to play for except more injuries and excuses.
