for a team amdist rebuilding, and thus, a youth movement, what's the point of signing McGinest? and spare me the "experience and leadership" routine; we don't need to sign an old player for the sake of experience. our more experienced players (i.e. Ellis, Coleman, Vilma, Barton) should become leaders, so we don't need that veteran leadership from McGinest. many people have been calling for McGinest, but neither do i see him fitting here because of his age, his career on the decline, nor worth the pay-check. cheers
Agreed. Mcgnisist? That's one hell of a typo. Anyways we should not go after him. He is not the type of guy we are looking for. We need young guys that will develop into players like McGinest. We are not going to make a run this season so there is no point in goin after expensive free agents that will only be here a year or 2.
That being said.....we have a YOUNG ROOKIE COACH, who is going to have to gain the respect of his players. What better way to do that then to bring in a leader on defense, who SHOULD be respected for all his bling and experience, and who already has the coach's respect? Just a tought.
