Did you know that Dyson is the backup kicker?? I had no idea. I just assumed it was Graham. Apparently, despite Graham being an amazing punter he can't even come close to kicking field goals. It was an interesting tidbit I heard last week. I am not sure what that means for those calling for him to kickoff. It is somewhat different than kicking field goals so maybe he is the backup for that. I will try to find out if someone else doesn't know.

Has Dyson ever kicked at any level?

Maybe Graham has difficulty getting height on the ball on field goals to get it over the potential blockers?

In Aussie Rules football all of the kicking is done out of the hand, punting style, so maybe he just hasn't made placekicks before. In rugby, kickers kick both ways, out of the hand and off a tee - I don't know if Graham played any rugby in Australia.

My understanding is that Dyson kicked in high school. I'm not sure why Graham has trouble with it. I just heard he really can't do it.

Let's just hope Nugent doesn't get hurt. But if he does, we'll sign a kicker after the week.

Nugent getting hurt is very unlikely...

I've read they've had Graham try to kickoff but he can't get the hang of kicking a ball that's on the ground, compared to punting.......

No, he probably just means that it is very rare for a kicker to get hurt....

Nuge could have busted himself up hitting the KR early in the Houston game. Great tackle though.
