At this point in revis’ career he was putting in one of the best seasons ever at his position. Adams is good but revis is a first ballot hall of famer
Look at Adams physique. Look at the passion he plays with. The leadership he displays. Revis was a great player (for a short time). Adams is the more complete player. Adams isn't holding out for more money every other year. Revis didn't become Revis Island until Rex arrived. He played on far better Jets teams. Let's pray the Jets get this thing figured out, put a good team around Adams so the world can see how good this guy really is. So they don't waste the prime years of one of the best Jets I've ever seen.
Adams can be a Beast of a player for sure The real question to be asked is do Adams and Marcus Maye exceed picking Patrick Mahomes that same draft??? Can't wait to hear the Opinions on this one
You have it backwards. Revis made Rex’s defense work. When most teams were putting there cb1 on the other teams wr2 and rolling coverage to wr1 revis lockdown those wr1s and let Rex send any and everyone. You take revis off that team and out Adams on it it’s not nearly as successful.
Dare I say his game today was worthy of all the talk now do this for 10 years Comparing him to Revis is idiotic
As a Jet? Yes. As an overall NFL talent? No. Clearly Jamal wants to win and according to him he wants to do it here (though the rumors of him wanting to go to Dallas or New Orleans certainly persist). Assuming he plays out most of his career here I think the fans will hold him in higher regard than Revis, who was at a level of elite for a couple years and then was in constant holdouts. I mean we praise Wayne Chrebet who wasnt an elite Hall of Fame receiver and to me he is one of the best Jets of all time. I would think that most don't only look at raw numbers and talent to judge who are the best Jets of all time, but certainly if Jamal is patient in believing we can turn this franchise around and continues this play year in and year out he will be considered a legend here.
This is the first game I've seen Adams put the team on his back and carry them - which is what HOF'ers do. Now he needs to keep doing that if he wants to get to Canton. Shut up and play!
Adams taking the ball out of Jones hands and running it for a TD was one of the best plays in Jets history..
