I just have this image in my head of Stephen Jones locking his father in a conference room with no cell phone until the 4PM deadline passed so he didn't trade away the next two drafts for Adams.
Because neither want to be here as it is. And then we dangled them and didn't move them. They're both just waiting to trash the franchise. Players get REAL sensitive about that stuff.
Bell is the highest paid running back in the league. If he complains, he can go fuck himself. Maybe Adams has his little feelings hurt, sure I guess, but I doubt it. what is there to be mad about? The Jets got a bunch of offers for them because they are good players and the Jets declined.
I think it was the right move to keep JA. Now cowboys know the price which is high. So in offseason if they think JA is the last piece they will over pay. I love Adams but if we can get 2#1 and a good ol then I will consider it
I assume they think they'll be able to get more come the offseason. Or at the very least they think they'll get the same package at the end of the season. I have very little doubt that Adams will be here next season.
I don't see why they would be mad at all. To some extent it strokes their ego because teams are interested. To another extent it can be sobering, e.g., if Jamal thought he was worth 2 late firsts, he ain't. I don't understand the damage control sentiment Separately, as good as Jamal is (and he's very good), we now run the risk that we keep him and get less in the future (see Leonard Williams) Bottom line: we have a lot of holes. They need attention. We need a critical mass of good players. A superstar here or there is too easy to game around, see, e.g., Bell. Now that we have Adams, hopefully we can get good before he gets so frustrated that he either gives up or leaves
3rd highest paid but i agree there is no reason for either to be unhappy. The Jets were not actively shopping them but willing to listen to offers. There is a big difference. If anything they should be mad that they are still here.
I'm not saying I agree. I actually agree with you. But it pisses players off and upsets them. Remember when Wilmer Flores cried on the field when he heard he was being dealt for the Mets? It does affect them. They're all narcissists and hate not being in control
I was going to post the exact same thing,,,,you think Jamal Adams is going to be a good soldier and keep his mouth and twitter quiet when he was almost a Cowboy and traded back close to home ? Good luck with that and BTW " come on Lev you know we love you and never wanted to deal you " ----if the lose to Miami IMO the dam breaks
