there is nobody running now, to get rid of that awful contract it doesnt matter. hes getting 12 mil a year and is on pace for 700 yards. They could get from montgumry or anyone else
their GM is also insane and asking way too much. I wouldn't look to trade the skins at all. the browns been calling for trent williams and they asked the browns for ward LMAO what a joke. nobody is giving up a top CB in the NFL who was picked 4th overall and in the 2nd year of a rookie deal for a 31 year old LT who isn't playing and doesn't want to be on that team. If the skins were smart they'd be able to easily move him for a 2nd rounder
personally I dont think ANYONE on this team is untouchable for the right price but JD needs to get rid of Gase because no matter what his vision for the team is this putz/ Gase is not the answer to coaching that vision
KEEP IN MIND that Aadam Gase purged and got rid of MANY talented players in Miami because GASE knows best just ask him
Darnold can hit IR if Bell is traded. Problem solved. P.S. If Jets DO move Bell, it had better be Hershel Walker kind of deal. Anything less is a massive fail.
They won't get better than 1 third round pick for Bell. Running back is NOT a premium position in the NFL.
I don't know that trading Bell will buy Gase a year. Gase hasn't been taking advantage of Bells' skills as it is. The Jets were able to run the ball better last year than this year. That has to be Gase's blocking scheme, or Pollack's. Either way, Gase is responsible for fixing it and he hasn't. He hasn't been using Bell's talents as a WR. Bell is wasted here as long as Gase is HC. The only reason for keeping Bell is if Gase is getting fired immediately; otherwise, the picks we get for Bell will help Douglas build the team better and faster, so once that dumbass Chris Johnsons realizes that Gase must go, the new HC will have a head start and some talent to work with. The good thing about RBs is that very good ones can be found throughout the draft and they can start and play well as rookies. RB is often one of the last pieces for a rebuilding team, unless they don't have a FQB and plan to focus their offense on a rushing attack with a game manager QB.
What do people expect Gase to do with Bell? Run him on go patterns every other route? Our offensive line is atrocious. The runningback has to stay in and block. We've tried running screens and he's caught a bunch of balls this year. It's just telegraphed that we're doing so because the line is terrible so the ball has to come out quick. Everyone complaining about Bell's touches and useage needs to get a grip on the reality that its not always completely the coaches fault. Not to mention he sat out a year and has already torn his ACL once. I don't think it's crazy to think he may not be as explosive as he once was and he'll only get worse from here on out as he gets older. He's still a good player and can be a good feature back. But in terms of the running back were TRYING to get him the ball. There's just no room to operate because it's obvious we're doing so.
Reading that Bell trades are dead no ones offering a 1....I guess teams aren't interested in giving compensation for a 28 yr old RB with a huge contract.
If Gase has anything to do with the stories coming out today he needs to be fired immediately! And if he doesn't have anything to do with it, fire him tomorrow.
Falco I dont know how either of us can know for sure but I know this = Douglas was hired because of Gase and according to the owners both Douglas and Gase answer to the owners and that the GM and coach are equals
