Joe is dead wrong on the coin toss decision. The fallacy in logic is that once you know the result which was 33-0, that somehow the first drive would have changed the outcome of all the other drives and in result the game. That's crazy talk. He is 100% correct on Gase though. Gase blows.
Just remember any other rant from this season after a loss... its the same shit. Gase sucks, sick and tired of this, 50 years since the last super bowl, yada yada...
Just trying to save those that didn't listen to Joe and Evan this morning some time this afternoon...
There is a reason why almost every team defers and that is because games are won in the 2nd half and those possessions are more important. I agree on the Gase comments.
I dunno man... I'm not sure I give The GOAT first crack at my defense to open the game. That long drive set the tone for the entire game as the Pats knew our D wasn't going to be able to stop them. Not even on 3rd and longs. I put our O on the field first even if its a 3 and out.
You know what - we aren't the ones who should be embarrassed. The Johnson brothers should be embarrassed. The Johnson brothers are the biggest joke the NFL has ever seen. They should be the butt of the jokes.
Its almost as if the Jets are just their hobby. Something to do in their spare time that makes them truckloads of money. Kinda like a food truck.
I didn't know anyone still listened to those two crybabies. You always defer when you can. It was the defensive game plan to sit in cover two zones that was the issue. Watch Brady in 2003. Watch Brady in 2013. Watch Brady in 2019. Those drives and those passes against those defenses are what made him the GOAT.
You don’t defer when your offense has trouble playing catch up and your defense has shown a lot this year that they can’t make stops and the offense is always in a hole. It wouldn’t of mattered yesterday but I would prefer to try to get an early lead and go from there. Constantly deferring is way overrated.
Eh. You take away Brady's amazing ability to double dip and if you struggle in the first half the hope is that you come out with adjustments and a new offensive game plan in the second half. That's why I would've kicked the field goal before half time and then if you can put a drive together you're down 24-10. It looks like our plan was no adjustments no matter what and force the game plan to work or die trying so it didn't matter either way.
Its astonishing to me how little they know about their own business. WHO besides them, thinks that Gase is head coach material??? Do they ever watch football?
And the fact that they watched him for 3 years underwhelm within their division. If, and it's a BIG if, Gase went back to being an OC for few years and had some success, then OK, hire him then. But to hire the guy immediately after he was fired with a losing record, beyond idiotic. What did they see?
Ill never pass up a chance to say what an asshole Joe Benigno is........hes a complete fucking clown. How do you guys listen to him?
Its soothing & relieving to hear someone else dramatically express the misery & bleakness that is rooting for this team
coin toss really didn't matter and it really doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. when your QB turns the ball over 5 times you are going to lose. simple as that. the real issue was not making the proper adjustments to NE's Defense at halftime and sam just had an off day. he's human, it's as simple as that
