Trade abe and 3rd rounder to lions for 9th pick draft V. Davis

    Take d'brick at 4

trade Jolley and/or blaylock to new orleans for their second round pick draft mangold with that

draft lawson with jets second round pick

draft maurice drew and hagan later on in draft

Now for the FA pick up Arrington and M'kewe from the ravens

Linebackers - Barton Vilma Lawson Arrington

    D line - D. Rob M'kwen Ellis

O line - D'brick Kendell Mangold Moore AJ

    TE - V. Davis

    RB- Martin/Drew

    QB- Penn

    FB- Askew

With the cap extended we are able to bring in a team like this. Defense wins games and with miami looking to get mawae, brees and T.O we need a great defense and Lawson Vilma and Arrington have speed.

Our Offense is reconstructing and Davis, Magold and D'brick is the start of this reconstruction period

You couldn't get a 2nd round pick for Jolley or Blaylock...not even for the both of them combined. I swear if we give up Abe AND a 3rd for Detroit's #9 I'm gonna be really pissed. Abe is first round value. if a team doesn't want to give us their 1st round pick for Abe straight up then screw them. Mangold WILL NOT be available in the 2nd round!

What makes you think New Orleans would agree to trade their second round pick for those guys?
Also, they like Mangold as much as eveyone else.

This isn't any normal first round pick, it's the ninth pick overall. When people discuss Abraham to be valued as a first round pick, they mean mid-late first round. If anything, this trade would probably be unfavorable to the Lions in terms of straight-up value according to conventional trade-value charts.

Also, interior linemen (especially centers), no matter how good they are have a strong chance of dropping to the second round because the position is somewhat devalued.

    1) There's not a single thing realistic in that whole set of moves. I don't even think Ferguson at #4 is realistic. He'll probably go third.

2)Murrell, Abe+a third for #9 is amazing value for Abe. It's the equivalent of the 14th pick overall. If you think we can do better than that, you're dillusional.

No...A 3rd AND Abe is too much. If they want Abe and a 5th then fine, but not a 3rd round pick. Besides Top 10 picks are overpaid and usually don't perform up to the level a top 10 pick should. You build your team in round 2 thru 5 anyway.

Ha! No, I don't think we should be getting rid of picks to get a #9. I'd rather get a mid level to late 1st round pick and keep our 3rd

Besides...we got 2 1st round picks for Keyshawn!! I'm not saying we should demand 2 1st round picks for Abe, but there's no reason to get rid of another draft pick

If they offer you #9, for Abe and a 3rd, you take it. If you're that desparate to recoup the 3rd rounder you trade down from #9 to the teens. Common sense tells you that you take whatever the best value is.

Agree with your first point M.

As far as Abe, if we are going to trade him...and that hurts, the detroit trade is probably the best you will do though.

The only thing that helped out a little bit was the new CBA. We no longer have our backs up against the wall. We will probably still trade him...but we can at least give off the vibe that if we want to, we can keep him.

Jolley is damaged goods now. You cannot get over a 4th for him if Ramsey is only worth a 4th.

Jolley to the Jets was one of the best moves of last years draft for the Raiders, which means it was one of the best moves of the draft period.

trading abe to the lions will NOT require our 3rd.
2 reasons are donnie henderson is now their def cord and he willpush for abe and the other reason is Matt Millen is a dumb f%ck
