Still need someone to manage the business end. Let's be honest, that's what matters most to Woody. His wallet.
New GM, with a very experienced front office staff in place. Let's see what they can do, if necessary, then create the new position to oversee the football side.

Minus the owners, he's the last of the old guard. Best Jets news all day. Good riddance.

Minus the owners there are over 50 remaining members of the old guard remaining. In every facet of the organization....

In the FO? You would be wrong. Addition by subtraction.

    Hymie Elhai over 20 years
    Brian Friedman 10 years
    Eric Gelfand 4 years
    Ian Lasher 6 years
    Fred Mangione 3rd year
    Roberto Beltramini 6th year
    Jeff Fernandez 17 years
    Larry Fitzpatrick 11 years
    Chris Gargano 4 years
Plenty more in the FO besides those I listed.
Also holdovers on the coaching staff, football administration, scouting, athletic training, communications, community relations, multimedia,
Equipment, facilities operations, grounds, marketing, medical, security,
Player development and several other Depts.
I see your as knowledgeable about the front office as the OP.

So you went from 50 down to significantly less in the FO and you still have zero idea what old guard meant in my post. You then go on to start spouting out randoms all over the organization which had even less to do with my post. Context clearly isn't your friend. Well done.

I hate to tell you this, but he's still here, just in a different position.

Those are two different jobs for two different people.

You have to have someone for the off field business.

That you need a VP of FB Ops is debatable.

In the basement with his red stapler. It's a demotion and he's of little consequence now. It's fresh faces at the top where it matters.

This will NOT change. The problem is the horrible stadium they built. I mean HORRIBLE. A travesty. When they build the Jets their own building, this will change.

And the business side used to interfere with the football side. Tim Tebow ring a bell anyone?

Sort of like John Davidson as President of the Rangers.
I think that role is long overdue here.

Cant believe this thread is still going and is on page 3 lol. Neil Glatt is a useless piece of shit who has as much to do with the on field performance of the Jets as the cost of milk in China. Good riddance a$$hole

Not sure how nobody's posted this yet, but the Jets promoted Hymie Elhai to be the new team president. Woody Johnson and Hymie Elhai. What a combination.
