Many of the types of players you would be hoping to strike gold with in the 6th round are going to also be available as UDFAs.
I’ve seen a couple of articles from the Colts (see below example) that Hairston had a good spring and they hoped it would carryover into the preseason (haven’t seen anything about how he did in preseason other than 8 tackles). As mentioned, if it’s a scheme issue, we might have something. Our 6th round draft picks have almost exclusively been trash. Not to say a new GM couldn’t change that, but he felt good enough to make the deal, and I trust him more then TGG posters.
