Outside of Sam's first pass attempt (should've been INT) our first drive was a beautiful one resulting in a TD. Can't take much from a preseason game but after reports throughout training camp of how great Darnold has performed it was awesome to see him march us down the field for a TD.
Is there any reason to keep him on the roster, at this point? All he does is miss. Maybe we can get Folk out of retirement.
Wow the Cat man is abysmal. Wtf are we going to do at the kicker position. They’re not a dime a dozen, despite what some people claim. A lot of games come down to making field goals and extra points.
Crazy that they spent 1.6 billion to build MetLife, but couldn't pony up the 100-150 million for a retractable roof in the northeast.
LOL.....and some teams actually DRAFT them. Go figure. Looks like we'll be a 4th down machine this year.
Have posted this before that IMO Mahomes is this generation's marino......Well it is surely possible that Darnold turns into this generation's Favre..... It may be ugly at times, but he will do great things to get u there.
Going for it forth and short should be the decision in most situations it's applicable (obviously not going for it 4th and 1 on your own 20 yard line or if you're down 3.) Edit: Let me rephrase that. If it comes down to kicking a 50+ yard FG or going for it on fourth and 2 or less I'd rather go for it and run a high % play
I hope that he will be better than Favre. Favre was still making stupid rookie mistakes his last year in the league. He forced the ball way too many times. He cost them a number of games with his dumb interceptions. And for all his talent, he only got them to and won one SB.
If all we had to do was trade three second round picks for a Super Bowl I’d do backflips. Sam can do whatever the hell he wants as long as he brings me one in my lifetime. Anything after that... don’t care.
