To bad Malone couldn't even get a ring with Shaq, Kobe, and Gary Payton.

    I'm praying!

GO JETS! Make the run, get to the playoffs, and get us to MIAMI! (getting ahead of myself much?)

Minnesota has one of the best Run defenses and Chad isn't known for carrying a team on his back...

I am not holding my breath for a win against Minny in Minny

Chad was the only one carrying this team the first 4-5 wks of the season before the defense starting to gel together and the running game starting to work.

Chad seems to play well without a running game this year.

Odd, but true. He could end up having a career day Sunday.

Yeah, and they run the ball very well, no matter who's carrying it. But I still see the Jets winning, the Vikings passing offense and defense is terrible.

I hope they at least win this week so the Christmas game will have meaning. I think they can win their last 3 games, but I have a bad feeling about the Miami game. However, if we can win these next two, we will have put ourselves in great position in Week 17 against the Raiders to possibly make the (p-word).

It doesn't matter if Chad is in or not...
It doesn't matter if we win or lose the next three games (In context... wait.)
When the Jets take the field I'll be following the game and hoping for a win.

And, if I get so down that I have to turn the game off before it's over....
I'll be there at the start of the next!

I would just be focusing on the minnesota game. Mangini needs to do what ever he can to get his players to play these last three games like its their last.

Miami and Oakland have two of the four top passing defenses, so does that make you more optimistic for Chad in those games? I'd say if the Jets can't get around 300 yards passing this week, the Miami and Oakland games could be very ugly.

Now this is what I needed on this lousy Monday - some good old fashioned optimism!

It was a semi-sarcastic question - if you think CP will have trouble against the team with the bad pass defense, I was pretty sure you wouldn't be thinking too many happy thoughts about the games against the teams with good pass defenses!

I'm looking at it like this.

Last year, we had arguably 3 meaningful games. Season was probably over when Chad and Feidler went down. At most, less than half the season was meaningful. I don't know about you guys, but last year was miserable. Playing out the stretch with a bunch of 3rd stringers playing, and having nothing to play for was boring.

So far, we've had 13 meaningful games. And we have at least one more coming up. I'm just hoping we win that one so we have a 15th meaningful game, on Christmas night against a rival team. And if we win that I want a 16th, with hopefully a chance to clinch a playoff spot at home.

This season was supposed to be a rebuilding year, nobody would have thought we'd be playing important games now. I've enjoyed this year because of them, and I'm not ready for that enjoyment to end. So lets get a win this week and keep the run going.

I've been a Jets fan since 1981. I've seen this scenario play itself out too many times to believe that we will see the playoffs this year. Plus it is going to make me ill if we do win out and we still don't make the postseason.

That being said, I admire all of you sunshiners and hope I am wrong.

i hope so man i hope we make the playoffs. My optimism is low because of my faith in Chad. But lets see I hope we do it. The loss this pass sunday is not what hurts, Its the type of lost that is so hard to swallow.
