Jay and Woody on Around the Horn just picked the Jets to win the wild card... wow...!
    Woody said Jets and Broncos.
    Jay said Jets and Beagals.

After that lost I find it hard for anyone besides Jets fans to still pick the Jets but if people on ESPN haven't given up on us then Jets Fan shouldn't either.

There are many 9 -7 record scenarios that the Jets can still make the playoffs but lets hope it doesn't go to that.

Cincinnati is going to the pissed off Colts, its also going to be a ESPN game so ESPN will be all over the Colts Defense this week.

The Jags are going to Tennesse where Vince Young is fired and super pumped up.

The Jets can find themselves in the 6th seed again if the above happens and most importantly beat the Vikings. Also only if the Broncos loses or the Chiefs win.

But the only P words the Jets should be using now is Progress and the talking "playoffs" is Premature.
lol... just got it off Jaws on PTI

Anyways take it a game at a time... and we have a very good chance.

Bottom line, we still have a decent shot. 3 out of 4 was the most realistic goal, it can still happen, all 3 remaining games are winnable. People are frustrated now, but we still have a pretty good chance.

If we finish 9-7, I don't think there's a shot in hell we make it to the playoffs. That basically means that the Bengals would have to lose all three games, since they would most likely win any tiebreaker scenario with us, or Jacksonville has to lose all three games, as they obviously hold their tiebreaker with us. However, if we win out and go 10-6 (even with the "cake" schedule, not as easy as it may seem), there is a decent shot of it.

We shouldn't mention the P word. That's what got us in trouble this game. Let's just worry about the Vikins. Were not even at 8 wins yet to speak about playoffs.

because they trump the broncos on division record and lose to us on conference record, i think.

Same overall record. If both win out, we're 7-5 against the AFC and they're 6-6.

If there is a tie between the Broncos and the Jets... Broncos win tie breaker.
If there is a tie between the Broncos, Jets, and the Chiefs... Jets win tie breaker.

Still, the chiefs winning wouldn't be good for the jets overall if the jets are to drop another game.

I want Jax, Cinci, KC, and Den all to lose, period.

lets hope Vince Young can pull it off again and beat the Jaguars. Then I thought I would never say this but that pats somehow rip them a new asshole. Then kansas city has to get there shit rocked by San Diego and maybe beat Jacksonville. But of course we got to atleast go 10-6.

if we win our games -- and that i an big if - the two teams in front of us will come back a game -- jax has to play outside the state of Florida and they might have a let down game against Tenn and have NE th week after. Cinci has a pissed off Indi team fighting for the best record in the AFC and a Denver team that might surprise us.

If we lose the the vikings sunday, then nothing really matters. However if we win we should be tied for one of the playoff spots by monday night. I think it may be a good thing that we play at one, so the team isnt scoreboard watching.

Jax and KC both play each other and it would be better for the jets if KC won...

exactly. im not worried about us winning games. Jax buried the Colts. we knew there run D was laughable but the team was running on all cylinders for the first time in almost 8 weeks.

we need the JAGS to lose as much as possible, win our games and hope the broncos continue to drop. as long as we win the chiefs will be a non-factor.

its kinda needy, but this week blew the wild card predictions out the window. so i wouldnt expect anything short of the same after this week.
