I think we have to absorb 9 million in total. I'm not sure how it pro-rates out. Seems like a bad move unless we get an amazing deal.

It’s still baffling that people are even doing this much research on it. It’s not happening. Clayton was giving an opinion and it this point in his career, it’s not as well-informed as it used to be.

Oh I agree with that, just showing that it’s possible with our cap space currently, I highly doubt it happens.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how that works, but if that's how it is, it REALLY makes no sense.

mike shanahan once gave brian griese a huge contract, then cut him when he bombed and ate a huge cap hit.

but that was denver, where the gm/head coach had a super bowl ring and the owner actually knew what he was doing.

no relation to the current 21st century jets.

This board kills me. You hated Bowles because he wasn't passionate enough or firey enough. You get a guy that isn't rex ryan but has passion and you hate it. Lol I just can't sometimes. Who did you think would be a better hire? Lazy ass Mccarthy? Rhule the inexperienced college coach?

That's what the reporter said. I could absolutely see the Jets trade Bell if they found a suitor.

If I'm the GM of the Jets I could absolutely see trading any player on the roster if they found the right deal. It's a total BS story.

I don't think it's doable. Salary caps are already set and teams haven't even signed their rookies. Teams would have to move a lot of bodies and money around to fit Bell under their cap. This would be a rare move and the Jets don't have a replacement.

Logical thinking like this has never stopped the Jets front office from doing something stupid. :D

I don't think they'll trade him (as already stated, it would be difficult at best), but I can't say that I'd be completely shocked to see that breaking news were it to happen. I don't put anything past the idiots who currently run this team. If there's a dumb decision to be made, then they're more than capable to stepping up to the plate and making it.

Rather than being an adult and sitting down and discussing their differences. Of course. Great plan; sure to bring success. That is just plain hopeless.

Arians the QB wisperer, or Monken the man that made Fitzpatrick and Jamis both relevant
I would ask for you to provide anything at all to backup these claims but I know that it doesn't exist.

If Bell doesn't get traded, one can see Gase completely sabotaging Bell's season. After Bell is done with the Jets, he will end up missing the Steelers organization. You think an organization with prestige would tolerate the kind of douchebags the Jets keep hiring?

If we did this we would be the laughing stock of the NFL and prob most of sports talk for a week. That being said it would be a typical JJet move
