We don't know that the new GM will be a Gase guy. Even if he is, Gase has accomplished a lot more in the NFL than Mac has. Mac needed to go anyway.
Would’ve had more respect for Chris Johnson if he just said.. Listen we’re not just gonna sit back and let the Giants steal our throne as the laughingstock of NY.. We’re back bitches!!!
They didn't necessarily want a DT. They felt Bosa was a real possibility to. Agree or disagree. I still call BS. I think Mac was out the door anyway. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
that's it.….I am sending my CV to the Johnson's ASAP..... nah they wouldn't want someone with a medical degree and a few dozen pubs. LOL.
Yes, seriously. Who said that Gase or G. Williams have no say? Besides, he isn't going to be the long-term GM, just interim. A new GM will be hired.
It does if Chris was on the fence about the talent level on the team and Mac and he didn't like Mac's work in FA and the draft, or if he had given Mac orders to fix the OL and Mac refused.
Also complete Hypocrisy of ownership. They eliminated or forced coaching candidates to eliminate themselves because ownership didn’t want to give full control. Yet here we are. Gase with full control.
I'm talking about Mac. He had a say in hiring Gase. He had a say in picking the players in this draft, including the number three overall pick. He had a say in spending over $100 million in free agents, and now he's fired. What was the point of any of that? They should have just fired him initially and left Gase has the GM. This org is so bush league.
in a strange twist I am curious as to what francesser will have to say about this. he just interviewed mac a few days ago. LOL
This Jet forum will not unanimously applaud the second coming and reincarnation of the best GM in the history of the NFL. The pitch forks are out for Jeremiah already without the benefit of knowing his credentials. We only just began.
And is highly respected. Since he's been at the NFL Network, at least two other teams tried to hire him for their front office, and one of them let it be known that they had plans to promote him to GM within 6 months to a year.
You know you are right. Shell made a few starts, Maye was a starter and so was Lee so that would bring the total to 8. I glossed over the color code to fast. Once I saw the 2015 draft and remembered the 2014 draft I was just seeing red.
One article I read today said that Adam Schefter said that Jeremiah and Joe Douglas are close friends and may come to the Jets together. I don't think it would be a scouting job. One of the reasons he loves his work at the NFL Network is that he isn't away from his family. He said that when he was with the Ravens he was never home even though he lived only two minutes away from the facility, and that it put a lot of pressure/strain on the family. I don't think it would either as GM or Scout, but something more like a 9-5 job. Maybe Director of Pro Personnel or Director of Scouting.
