This board is almost unreadable after a loss. I come on here expecting to see the usual "Pennington sucks" threads that get started every week, win or lose. However, this week was so much worse than usual. For example, in the last five minutes I have read that some of our starting players are complete busts. Let's start with Chad Pennington because that is the biggest issue. Every week we have to listen to people bash him over and over. Today, I agree, that he should be killed. He played a horrible game and never seemed to take a shot. However, he shouldn't bare the brunt of the blame. That falls on the defense. You can't give up big plays like they did. It's unbeleivable that people are calling for Clemens. Did you watch the last drive with Clemens in. He couldn't even get a pass off and they were giving him the whole center of the field. Pennington is our best option to win and putting in Clemens would signal the end of a promising season.

Another player who is being bashed is Robertson. The past few weeks everyone on this site have been so high on Robertson. He has imnproved nicely and we were starting ot like the way he was playing. Now he has a bad game and we label him the "worse draft pick ever". C'mon show some common sense. I know you are angry but don't completely turn your opinion over one game.

The other player is D'Brick. Anyone bashing D'Brick shouldn't even be allowed to post on this board. He is a rookie playing one of hardest positions in the NFL. He has to go up against one of the opposing team's best athletes. He has played great this year given his situation. He has one bad game and people question the move again. It's unbelievable.

Week after Week we hear the "vilma can't fit", "vilma is a 4-3 mlb, he sucks in the 3-4".. However this week I heard the best one of all. "Vilma is not a player on defense who will lead us anywhere". Now c'mon, be reasonable. The guy has one bad game with only 1 tackle you start bashing him. Even in his off year while he adjusts to the scheme he is one of the league's better MLB.

The point is that people have to think a little before they post. Nobobdy gets labeled a bust after one bad game. Don't turn your entire opinion around on a player because he had a bad game. Go ahead and bash me and tell me I'm wrong but I'm happy to know that I'm part of a small group of reasonable, realistic people around here.

You're absolutely right. This board is unreadable with all the crap people post, especially about Pennington. What about McGahee running the shit out of us even after he pukes his brains out.
We're still in the playoff hunt, no need to shit yourselves now.

I agree with you about every player except for Pennington. If we can not extend the field we will be able to get into the playoffs someday but not win anything significant like an AFC Championship or Super Bowl.

It is not that I don;t understand that this shit happens....for me it is the way that it happened. I personally just couldn't understand the fact that we did not try to throw the ball down the field, and that we gave up on plays that were working. The TDs Buffalo got were screw ups by us, well at least 3 of them, but Buffalo earned them so there's nothing we can do.

Solomon Wilcots mentioned during the game that the score did not indicate the level of play being put out by the Jets and that is true. The difference maker, in my opinion, was that the Bills took advantage of every opening and we did not. 31-13 and they straight up beat us. So it means no playoffs without some significant help...is it that much of a disaster? If we finish 8-8 or better we will certainly be one of the biggest surprises the NFL has had in a while.

If you're pissed about the loss, be pissed, I am too, but lets not throw the Jets under the bus. Every team has bad games, we just had one at an inopportune time.

agreed. the whole calling out single players at this point in the season is ridiculous. Chad had a horrible game. The defense had a horrible game and the coaching staff had a horrible game. the problem is that there was so much playoff talk this week. From Jet fans to ESPN and everyone under the sun. I know the P word was not allowed at Jet camp, but they knew what was going on. And to come out like that at home vs a Div rival with the P word in their own hands is unacceptable.
Either Chad or the CS has absolutely no trust in the recievers to make a play. i don't know how many times i saw Coles down field 1 on 1 and the ball never went in that direction. there was no aggression on O or D,and that lack of trust does not get you to where you want to be.

    Four plays today.
    Thats it.
    1. One bite on a pump fake. TD
    2. One great run. TD.
    3. One tipped pass. INT/TD
    4. One sack/fumble. TD

I mean -- thats it. Four plays.

Of course there are other things that added. Why they didnt go on 4th and one in the third -- made no sense.
    The O line played terribly.
The d line allowed 6 yards per pop -- so it seemed (havent checked stats).

Let me add one more that I just saw:

Someone posted in this forum about our lack of a playmaker. What I want to know is where this kid was when Leon Washington was breaking off a 25 yard TD run last week or where he was when Coles and Cotchery both broke huge TD runs in the first Patriots game. What about Justin Miller who has the most kickoff returns for TD's in the league.

It's nice to see at least some of us here react normally. I hate this board after a loss too.

Chad was bad today, but so was the O-line for the first time in a while.
This was a total team loss, the D in the second half looked liked they packed it in.

Now, having said all that, to call out players, coaches, say people "suck" etc. is just dumb. Look around the league at all the upsets every week - hell, look at the games TODAY. The NFL is difficult and unpredicatable. Let's just enjoy 3 remaining meaningful games at the end of the season - we're still in this.

The problem is that too many on this site overrate the team when things are going well. All this putting down ESPN, putting down WFAN when quite frankly they are being realistic about the Jets. The Jets are not a great team, i'm not even sure they are a good team. They've improved alot and have a good young coach. Buffalo is as good as they are and really could have won the first meeting this season. If some people would just knock the chips off their shoulders and look at the Jets for what they are, a work in progress, they wouldn't be crushed after a game like today.

I was pretty crushed during the game but I have tried to shake it off. We were "allowed" to lose 1 of 4 and still have a good shot. I think if we can find a way to win next week we still have a good shot. Basically, my goal is to have a meaningful game against the Dolphins on Christmas.

This will be my only post until we win next week. I am happy with the way the Jets played this season. I am looking forward to seeing what the rookie head coach, rookie offensive coach and new D coach can do with an entire year under their belt next year.

I wont be looking at this board until next Sunday. I am a Jet fan and hate to see anyone ripping them fan or no fan. They had a bad game, screw it, move on to the next game imo.

The BEST post I have read on this board yet. I usually dont post, I come and read peoples opinion and it is by far the most negative site going.

RELAX. We got outplayed. Chad was bad, the o-line was worse, as was the D-line.

The people who after last week were praising all of this, are now labeling people busts, saying lets play Clemens (who I guarantee will never start a game for the Jets) etc. Get a grip.

We exceeded expectations and lets just enjoy a season nobody thought was possible and hopefully get to the playoffs and make some noise!

Lets all pat ourselves on the back and discuss how much better we are than the rest of the board. We'll use the power of positive thinking! YAY!

I agree with your assessment and the other poster about it basically coming down to 4 plays, but unfortunately, I think we go 1 and 2 or 2 and 1 from here on in and finish 9-7 or 8-8. Yesterday prooved to me that we are not a playoff caliber team. We are just a few pieces short.

I don't know, I'd give this about a 5/10. The original rant is sorely lacking a paragraph or two about how terrible the crowd was yesterday and how there were 2 people in the stadium at kickoff. Blaming the green pants would've also put it over the top.

actually the stadium was about as full at kickoff as I have ever seen, not including playoffs. The crowd was ready, unfortunately the Jets weren't..

H'mm when you can take a player out of the game like the Bills did to JV what does that say about JV abilities?

When you strom the ramparts & make your supposed stud player look like a Pop Warner player such as Sroebel did to Brick yesterday what does that say about about Bricks ability?

When you destroy the other sides NT as Bflo did to DEW what does that say about DEW?
